    Strategic Advisor: Advisory Services - CMAN19011

    Minimum Requirements:

    • B Degree in Commerce/Business Administration / Public Administration or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
    • MFMA Certification will be an added advantage
    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a political environment of which at least 3 years must have been at Senior Management level

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Provide multi-disciplinary, functional focused, organisational advisory & evaluation services to the Office of the City Manager
    • Drive and manage advisory services and improvement initiatives across the organisation to achieve cluster goals / organisational goals / service delivery through clean governance
    • Provide advisory services to the different spheres within the City, improvement initiatives to achieve better service delivery to achieve organisation wide improved service delivery

    Minimum Requirements:

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Collect and remove refuse from residential, business and industrial premises
    • Place and remove litter bins and change the refuse bags

    Team Leader (Refuse Areas & Teams) - ERWM19846

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12
    • Relevant experience

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Physical cleaning of litter on sidewalks, street and public parking areas
    • Placement and removal of litter bins and changing of refuse bags
    • Removal of animal carcasses from roads, houses and vets
    • Delivery of 851 litre and 240 litre refuse bins
    • Comply with safety rules and safe working procedures
    • Wash and grease refuse collection truck and other council vehicles
    • Occasional moving of furniture between offices
    • Responsible for safekeeping of tools and daily inventory of the number of bins on site
    • Clean the offloading ramp and between containers
    • Assist with general repairs to containers, refuse bins and equipment
    • Responsible for operating the hydraulic compaction and lift mechanisms on refuse removal truck
    • Ensure that the spillage that occurs during the load process is properly cleaned
    • Direct the Lorry Driver when reversing.

    Regional Overseer (Internal Bulk Containers) - ERWM19668

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • Code EC driver's licence with PrDP
    • Computer literacy
    • Fleet management certificate
    • Vehicle technical knowledge
    • 1-year relevant experience

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Plan for short term activities regarding maintenance of vehicles, daily refuse removal schedules and services
    • Schedule daily vehicles and staff allocation to ensure equal workloads for round collection and other services
    • Organise for maintenance of transfer stations, mini disposal sites, removal of carcases etc.
    • Arrange for breakdowns to be attended to immediately
    • Administer control over issuing consumables, productivity and attendance of staff
    • Ensure that vehicles leaving depot are roadworthy and have been checked for mechanical defects
    • Control premises of transfer stations and mini sites and ensure they are maintained properly and that there is sufficient disposal space. Ensure that council policies are made available to the work force at the depot
    • Compile survey reports of volumes of refuse placed out daily/weekly on request and submit to Operations Officer
    • Keep statistics with regard to consumables issued and other relevant operational issues
    • Ensure safekeeping of relevant and current administrative information at depot
    • Perform administrative functions at the depot
    • Attend to customer service orientation
    • Ensure good relations and excellent liaison with stakeholders

    Minimum Requirements:

    • B degree in Human Resources or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
    • Certification with the Human Resources Professional Body will be an added advantage

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement and align the remuneration and benefits strategy
    • Research, develop and implement fringe benefit policies to address the gaps and deficiencies
    • Manage the implementation, application and interpretation of remuneration and benefits strategies across the Municipality
    • Develop and implement remuneration and benefits systems and business processes within the Council and provide specialist advice and guidance in respect of remuneration and benefits policies and procedures
    • Manage information briefings on leading remuneration market practice and manage projects in consultation with the Divisional Head
    • Manage the coordination of job profiling and development of job descriptions for all levels within CoE and ensure that all job profiles are correctly stored in the reward database profile repository within your section
    • Manage accurate administration and maintenance of employee records for the CoE as per the national archives and record services Act
    • Manage the development of salary budget in liaison with finance department as per treasury standards
    • Oversee the preparation on monthly and annual budgets and financial reports in accordance with statutory and Council presentation requirements
