• You will oversee the manufacturing and engineering operations for specialized mining ventilation products, ensuring efficient estimating, pricing, production, and delivery. Your main responsibilities will include estimating special fabricated jobs, costing standard products, and performing material take-outs. You’ll interpret and check drawings, plan and assist with the execution of fabrications, and update production plans. Additionally, you’ll compile schedules, manage material procurement, review quotations, and maintain accurate job bookings via the SYSPRO ERP system. What you’ll need

• To excel in this role, you should have a proven track record as an Estimator, preferably in the manufacturing, sheet metal or mining sector. A National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (minimum N3 qualification) is preferred. Proficiency in Planning Software (Microsoft Projects) and AutoCAD (DXF) is advantageous. You should have at least 5 years of experience in a sheet metal or fabrication/engineering environment. High computer literacy, particularly in Excel, and strong technical skills are essential.

Additionally, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the data book throughout the manufacturing process, requesting necessary non-destructive tests (NDTs), and arranging pressure tests.
