    Instrument Technician - Parow

    Responsibilities

    • Performs instrumentation maintenance activities associated with process plant, packaging plant; palletizing plant, utilities and facilities.
    • Monitors daily downtime and institute corrective action plans to prevent recurrences of breakdowns.
    • Calibrates, repairs and maintains control gear/instrumentation and associated equipment to ensure operation within set standards;
    • Perform root cause analysis to address asset performance problems and/or reduce cost;
    • Maintains PLCs and SCADA systems and networks (hardware and software) and perform changes/modification as required;
    • Continuously evaluates the process control philosophy and initiate improvement actions in order to achieve asset performance targets;
    • Implements continuous improvement on all electronic equipment in the plant.
    • Assist in commissioning of modifications/projects;
    • Ensures proper documentation of changes/modifications and perform internal audits;
    • Fault finding and repair of electronic systems to card level.
    • Fault finding and repairs of electronic cards down to component level.
    • Ensure availability of spares for all electronic/control systems in the plant.
    • Accurately and timeously reports process equipment deviations to stakeholders to meet/improve equipment availability and reliability targets.
    • Ensure proper back-up of all PLC programs and maintain records of all upgrades.
    • Ensure the safe operations of process control systems.
    • Audit of control system equipment.
    • Resolve daily plant instrumentation and PLC/Software issues and complete root cause analysis
    • Ensure all back-up software is up to date and process control systems on the plant are functional
    • Calibration of process equipment.

    Qualifications

    • Complete required testing and safety checks on all instrumentation equipment.
    • Conducts all scheduled maintenance within required timeframes
    • Performs all emergency electronic maintenance
    • Updates and Reviews documentation relating to work done and or changes in original specifications
    • Signs off on alternative systems suppliers based on equipment performance.

    Legal Manager, AMESA Functions, Regulatory & Commercial

    Overview

    • The role’s key accountability is to lead FRC service delivery to certain AMESA functions & UAE HQ as well as play a major support role to other functions serviced by FRC.
    • FRC comprises of a small team of 3 lawyers. Therefore, each team member, is vitally important to the success of FRC in both managing the key existing worksteams it supports and to amending the same for the continuing transformation of AMESA Legal support to AMESA and it’s BUs in future.
    • The role requires high a high level of independent working, a transformational work ethic, excellent stakeholder management, and ability to adapt to the changing needs of FRC internal clients.

    Responsibilities

    • The lead lawyer for AMESA/UAE-related entity governance including restructuring and board management
    • The lead lawyer supporting the Global Procurement and IT function in ensuring appropriate contracts are put in place with third party services providers. Commercial contracts include: IT Software & Maintenance, Professional Services, Real-Estate, and NDAs.
    • The lead lawyer in maintaining a suite of procurement and marketing commercial contract templates and where necessary make relevant enhancements to templates
    • Support the design and development of ways of enhancing existing processes/templates/tooling to simplify and streamline ways of working across the sector
    • Support in the delivery of any HR-related advice and agreements;
    • The lead lawyer in supporting delivery of all relevant marketing agreements, such as insights, celebrity, sponsorship, endorsements and the provision of promotional digital and non-digital services
    • Plays a pivatol role in the maintaining the high performance levels of AMESA FRC including great relationship with its internal clients
    • Partnering with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate governance is in place to manage legal risks
    • Issuing accurate, reliable contracts for GP, IT, Communications, Marketing, Supply Chain business & transactions which take into account all Company policies, precedents and guidelines;
    • Partnering with Communications, IT, Marketing and Supply Chain team(s) to pursue business AOP and other key agendas by providing effective legal support and advice on overall business and projects.
    • Provide key legal advice and solutions on UAE businesses or transactions and proactively keep up-to-date with local laws and regulations;
    • Management of legal risk and exposure in relation to all dealings with third parties;
    • Ensuring robust corporate governance and maintaining corporate documentation;
    • Proactively partnering with and protecting the business from legal liabilities and risks;
    • Raising capability of the FRC Legal function by identifying best practices from across PepsiCo as well as externally and working towards simplifying and automating processes within the function;
    • Implementing the Company’s policies and provide support to all other functions in relation to documentation required for the implementation of the same;
    • Assisting lead counsel on major projects, ranging from negotiation, drafting and execution of complex agreements;
    • Lead and support certain FRC-led strategic projects and center of excellence related initiatives;
    • Undertake initiatives designed to enhance the capability of the FRC Law Department; and
    • Lead targeted training to clients on matters such as anti-bribery and contract terms

    Qualifications

    • Law Degree.
    • Admitted to practice.
    • Preferred to have 6-8 years of experience, either all law firm or split between industry and Law firm.
    • Be familiar with FMCG industry business.
    • Solid experience in corporate commercial legal work with a good understanding of government processes & regulatory environment. Experience in litigation and litigation strategy a plus.
    • Fluency in English both spoken & written.
