    Distribution Controller (Milling)

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • To manage logistics for Tiger Brands through effective and efficient management of the warehouse and Distribution  You are responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement in the Warehouse and Distribution.

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

    Outbound:

    • Always ensure that there is enouph stock to execute orders
    • Review Open Order Book daily
    • Liaise with LCT Planner on the plan for the next day and confirrri stock via Order Management System.
    • Ensure FIFO is practiced to prevent write offs in the Warehouse.
    • Ensure that collecting Customers follow the Collection SOP at all time.


    Inbound:

    • Ensure that all inbound stock is inspected upon receiving for visible damage, Expiry dates, Condition of the product.
    • Ensure all stock received is good receipted Correctly and within 3 working days on Oracle
    • Ensure In transit reports are run timeously and cleared.

    Chep Control:

    • Ensure we have enough pallets for production on site.
    • Ensure Pallet recon and counts are done mo nthly
    • Ensure that correct transactions are done on all Chep accounts
    • Reduce Chep pallet holdings

    Expenses

    • Ensure all our expenses are within Budget
    • Manage outsourced labour requisitions and PO's
    • Ensure PO's are raised before invoices.
    • Check if transport rates balances to the charges.
    • Overtime Management.
    • Ensure we manage Gas usage effectively.

    Inventory

    • Manage stock co unts accuracy to 99.5%.
    • Ensure Finished Goods Stock co unts is done according to the SOP.
    • Ensure all stock moverTjents to damages is do ne time ously to avoid stock losses.
    • Manage FIFO Principles
    • Ensure SAM reports are accurate and ready before Daily Production Meetings.

    Audits

    • No repeat findings for the department.
    • Ensure all RMAs are passed within 3 working days upon arrival on site
    • Ensure filing is up to date all the time
    • Manage Over and under weights and ensure that there is final check done before
    • truck leaves site and signed off.

    Operational Discipline

    • Minimize daily pallet holdings.
    • Accurate daily and Monthly stock counts.
    • Reduce Warehouse Stock dam ages
    • Attend to Employees absenteeism and discipline issues
    • Ensure 3PL is following all our SOPs

    Planning Tools

    • Have daily and Weekly departmental Meetings to feedback and update employees on all operational issues.
    • Run daily PRS reports to ensure that Finished Goods Warehouse is properly
    • Managed
    • Ensure accuracy on order Management System from LCT
    • Ensure that information on Trip Director tool is correct

    Qualifications
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Supply Chain KPI's, Logistics Administration & Operational requirements in an FMCG Company. Food Safety and HACCP Requirements.
    • Academic - Grade 12, Computer Literacy, Flair for Figures , Problem solving, Decision making, Good Communication skills.
    • Leadership - Influencing others, driving long-term re suits, developing myself & others, staying a step- ahead, managing change
    • Personal Effectiveness — Effective communication, interpersonal skills, Integrity, Creativity, Continuous Learning, Attention to detail

    Experience

    • Function —3+ Years experience in Logistics, Warehouse stock management with customer experience in retail & wholesalers.
    • Industry — Experience in FMGG industry desirable

    Fitter (Bakeries)

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    • The Fitter needs to ensure that all Albany Germiston equipment is maintained in order to have minimum breakdowns and that the plant availability is in accordance to set standards. 
    • To maintain plant and machinery to world class standards while providing support to the Maintenance Manager in project and development work

    Responsibilities

    WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

    • Machining
    • Welding / cutting / development and similar competencies 
    • Maintenance
    • Installation of machinery
    • Light construction work
    • Control own allocated work area

    Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Qualified Fitter (Must have Trade certificate)
    • At least 5 years experience in a production environment
    • Must be able to work overtime, weekends and public holidays
    • Knowledge of bakery machinery
    • Knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems will be an advantage
    • Must be able to do maintenance using a computerised maintenance system
    • Must be able to be do standby duties
    • Must be familiar with installation and construction work

    Fleet Coordinator (Bakeries)

    Job Description
    THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

    Manage the effective distribution of products. Identify and implement best fit route optimization model and systems.

    Responsibilities
    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    Intercompany:

    • Manage the collection of buy outs at sister bakeries when needed
    • Manage Invoicing bread on morning and afternoon loads to Manna AA Consistent monitoring of the distribution network (Route viability and Performance).
    • Manage returns and stock on truck
    • Manage collection of Value adds with the crates
    • Deliver AA weekly statements and invoices.
    • Match departure times and loading timeously for AA
    • Manage leave rosters & ensure leave relievers are in place
    • Manager weekly wages
    • Ensure that drivers maintain a tidy, professional appearance at all times
    • Manage daily truck inspection
    • Manage the collection of buy outs at sister bakeries when needed
    • Monitor collection of loaders at AA or Manna when trucks get diverted to sister bakeries
    • Debriefing drivers on daily speeding and fuel consumption
    • Balance crates back to basket recon
    • Manage estimate order for AA
    • Attend to disciplinary issues (misconducts)
    • Manage departure times

    Distribution:

    • Conduct daily inspection and updates the inspection record on Excel spread sheet
    • Train and test drivers on truck and trailers
    • Driver testing
    • Input of basket sheet info on a Excel spread sheet to determine the truck utilization%
    • Facilitate scheduled invo coms
    • Monitor and manager all accidents/incident related issues
    • Manage vehicle insurance claims and assist with the investigation reports
    • Monitor GPS (tracking , reports, speed limits, fuel cuts when hijacked)
    • Allocate trucks on routes
    • Conduct daily vehicle inspection and record keeping
    • Assist with obtaining authorization for vehicle repair including tyres, gear box, disc
    • Partner with SAPS  in relations to all the release of all hi-jacked and pounded vehicles
    • Deal with all panel beating and windscreen repairs/replacements

    Qualifications
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    Experience

    • Matric or equivalent qualification
    • National Diploma/3 year Degree in Supply Chain will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a FMCG environment
    • Valid drivers’ license
    • Prepared to work long hours when required
    • Prepared to work weekends and public holidays
    • Prepared to work in informal and formal trade sector
