    Data Verifier

    Role Objectives

    • To ensure that sufficient information is sourced in order to allocate claims correctly.To ensure a World Class experience in terms of Customer Service i.e. Continuous improvements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish and Review merits of a claim
    • Acknowledge receipt of claim towards broker / direct client
    • Determine whether a third party or recovery and segment accordingly (Recovery / Liability)
    • Identify feasible recovery matters to be handed to recovery area and non feasible.
    • Ensure that information according to liability requirement management rules are sourced prior to matters being handed to the liability product line
    • Check that all the required information is on file (quantum, merits, claim form, info obtained aligned with requirement management).
    • Utilise external resources in order to obtain critical information
    • Complete system notes appropriately (Detailed and comprehensive claims log notes)
    • Identify and recommend areas / ways to improve processes.
    • Use appropriate tools to track the use of time of resources, money, materials or equipment.
    • Collaborate and work closely together with others thereby leveraging constructive team dynamics and innovation
    • Be aware of capacity building initiatives (i.e. development programmes, training, mentorship, coaching

    Actuarial Analyst.

    Role Objectives

    • To support the Hollard Insure Personal lines pricing team in servicing the various product portfolios through data management and analytics, pricing, product development, portfolio monitoring, MIS and technical assistance.
    • The range of products include all products relating to Personal Lines policies.

    PROCESS

    • Assist with the design and pricing of new and existing products:
    • Conduct on-going review and monitoring of pricing on products.
    • Measure and monitor the appropriateness existing rates.
    • Data manipulation and performing data analysis.
    • Support system implementation of new products as well as updating and maintaining rating models on existing products.
    • Assist with design and implementation of renewal pricing philosophy.
    • Support experience monitoring of existing portfolios.
    • Conduct impact analysis of new rates to support stakeholders with change management.
    • Generate and review product documentation for new and existing products:
    • Liaise with underwriting, product team and IT to develop product specifications.
    • Support sales teams with technical marketing queries.
    • Assist with testing and specification of system setup for products.
    • Product monitoring and reporting.
    • Management Information
    • Produce management information.
    • Analysing trends and insights to inform business decisions.
    • Assist with modelling as needed to support business decisions.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships between the team and related internal and external stakeholders, particularly the Distribution team, IT, Product development team and Personal Lines support team.

    DATA MANAGEMENT

    • Collaborate with all business partners to ensure data requirements of PL pricing team are met.
    • Extracting, cleaning, processing, and reconciling data from various data systems and providing the data in a suitable format for PL actuarial calculations.
    • Data Analytics

    Required Knowledge And Experience

    • 1-3 years relevant experience in short-term insurance pricing / product Development
    • Digital literacy & data manipulation skills
    • Towers Watson Emblem, Radar and Classifier
    • Earnix
    • SAS
    • Advanced MS Office
    • SQL
    • Technical pricing experience (Generalised Linear Models and other modelling experience) would be an advantage.

    Educational Requirements

    • BSc Actuarial/Statistics/Mathematics degree or other relevant actuarial or data degree
    • Studying towards becoming a qualified actuary in the short-term insurance industry
    • Good progress in completing CTs (minimum of five preferred).

    Actuarial Specialist.

    Role Objectives

    • Support the dynamic and fun Personal Lines Pricing team in servicing the various portfolios through pricing, product development, portfolio management and analytical assistance on personal lines products, including Hollard’s unique MotorXtender warranty policy. The role also offers the successful applicant exposure to commercial and specialist/niche products – an ideal opportunity to widen horizons.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Development Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the implementation of the Personal Lines pricing strategy.
    • Contribute to the overall effectiveness and delivery of work within the Personal Lines pricing team.
