    Data Monitor - Cape Town

    Purpose of the position: 

    • To monitor and evaluate the data collected by the data capturers to ensure data integrity and accurate reporting.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Diploma/certificate in health/social science or other relevant field
    • Computer literacy skills in Microsoft office
    • 2-3 years’ data management, data verification/quality assurance experience and /or training
    • 2 years’ experience with the Tier.net
    • Experience in training of data staff in a health environment
    • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans or any South African languages
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to KP sites

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Trains and provides mentorship to KP data staff on data flow requirements to ensure all captured and reported data is of high quality, completed and timeously reported.
    • Assists in developing reporting tools.
    • Coordinates the implementation of new reporting tools (electronic and paper) and provide training and ongoing support at the KP sites on data innovations and ensure standardized tools used for data collection across all sites.
    • Verifies and evaluates weekly, monthly and quarterly data submitted by each KP site and help implement better ways to improve quality of data.
    • Address all challenges and human errors with data capturing and reporting and ensure resolution and follow ups are performed on all discrepancies.
    • Liaise with site managers on TB and HIV program data management issues.
    • Monitor HTS testing and ART linkage services by analysing data from PowerBI.

    Social Auxiliary Worker - Durban

    Purpose of the position:

    • This post will provide psycho social services under the supervision of a social worker within the context of an HIV Priority Populations Prevention programme focusing on adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and adolescent boys and young men (ABYM). This will include screening and assessment, and referral to social worker for therapeutic social work services, within the PPPrev Programme. The social auxiliary worker will also conduct structural programmes addressing HIV prevention and gender-based violence, smart finance as well as engage with relevant stakeholders with government departments, with partners and in the social work field.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Certificate in Social Auxiliary Work from a recognised college or institution
    • Minimum of 2 years’ related experience
    • SACSSP (South African Council for Social Service Professions)
    • Preference will be given to qualifying candidates residing within district/ subdistrict
    • Proficiency in English and isiZulu languages

    Facilitator - Durban

    Purpose of the position

    • The purpose of this job is to facilitate multi-session evidence based structural programmes and conduct risk reduction to vulnerable AGYW to provide information and promote positive behaviour change in a safe space.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Accredited / recognised 10 days counselling certificate
    • Facilitation training and beneficiary of PPPrev Programme would be an advantage

    • Records and maintains accurate and detailed information and keeps statistics in order to submit as required

    Nurse Clinician - Durban

    Purpose of the position:

    • To provide a combination prevention evidenced based package, focusing on HIV prevention (including oral Prep as the additional prevention option) in adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) by incorporating comprehensive package of sexual health services and HIV, TB, STI screening, diagnosis, treatment, continuity of care. and condom promotion and distribution. Ensure navigation of referrals into a facility where needed.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Degree / diploma or relevant Nursing qualification

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Develops and maintains relationships with facility managers, educators and learner representative organisations in identified clusters
    • Maps out CBOs and hots spots for mobilisation of vulnerable AGYW and sites for peer-led mobile services
    • Implements and maintains the HIV testing services (HTS) programme and screens AGYW to identify vulnerable beneficiaries

    • Ensures appropriate navigation and referral of all new cases for psycho social support to SAWs and Social worker interventions
    • Ensures case management strategy is implemented by PrEP CURR team (peer educator, linkage officer and enrolled nurse) to ensure beneficiaries of program remain in Care (RIC)
    • Submits monthly reports
    • Collaborates with Department of Basic Education (DBE), Department of Social Development (DSD), Department of Health (DOH) managers and community role-players to scale up THC’s package of services
    • Provides mentorship to initiation and retention team

    Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator - Cape Town

    Purpose of the position: 

    • The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator reports to the Professional Nurse Coordinator and M&E Director and leads all M&E activities within the project, i.e. data quality, data usage, data analysis and reporting. The project will be focused on scaling up TB Preventative therapy in Khayelitsha, City of Cape Town, through training and advocacy. The M&E Coordinator will oversee the development and roll-out of effective M&E processes, tools and systems for the project as well as provide technical assistance through mentorship, training and support. Participation in relevant internal, district and sub-district Department of Health M&E and data discussions and activities and provide ongoing technical support

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 coupled with a Certificate in Computer Package
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data management, data analysis, maintaining and/or updating databases; data verification / quality assurance experience and/or training
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working specifically in the TB field - knowledge of TB indicators
    • TIER.Net, DHIS, Advanced MS Excel and information management background is essential

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Build and maintain partnerships with all stakeholders, including provincial and district Departments of Health (DoH) staff
