    Asst Officer Remuneration

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • NQF 5 (Higher Certificate) in Payroll or related qualification would be advantageous.

    Additional Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
    • Clear security screening record.
    • Medically fit to work in the specific business area.
    • At least 3 years’ experience within a Payroll environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, and submit them to appropriate departments.
    • Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconciles issued payrolls to bank statements.
    • Complete, verify, and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, and unemployment and medical insurance.
    • Attend to any payroll queries by providing information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions.
    • Keep abreast of latest relevant developments or changes with regards to new tax laws by means of liaising with external sources, attending meetings and training sessions.
    • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and posts information onto designated records.
    • Perform various other clerical tasks e.g. recording employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, in order to maintain and update payroll records, filing.
    • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
    • Ensure that employees are paid on time and that all wage calculations are accurate by computing wages and deductions, and entering data into computers, compiling employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.

    Senior Manager Regional HR

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • Minimum of NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree) in Human Resource Management or equivalent

    The Appointee should:

    • Have at least 12-15 years’ experience in Total Reward, Employee benefits and HRMI, of which 5-8 years should have been at a management level and experience in total reward.
    • Have a reward and mobility management experience in a large multi-national organisation or equivalent.
    • Have excellent computer skills (MS Office).
    • Have strategic understanding of the total reward, Employee benefits and HRMIS functions and the impact it has on the organisation
    • Have excellent understanding of the legislative framework impacting on the labour governance of the organisation ability to perceive and quantify risks for mitigation
    • Be experienced in the design of reward, incentive, and benefit programmes to attract and retain employees.
    • Have the ability to drive results in the delivery of a total reward, Employee Benefits and HRMIS services.
    • Have good project knowledge in the implementation of any total reward, Employee Benefits and HRMIS related projects
    • Have business writing skills in the delivery of Exco and Board submissions and annual reports
    • Have effective stakeholder management in a multi-facetted environment.
    • Have International mobility management experience (i.e. reward, tax, immigration within a multinational corporate or consulting experience.
    • Have strong leadership skills in influencing the key team members in the delivery of sustainable growth.
    • Effective service offering to Board, CRO’s and HR Leads per region.
    • Have a clear security screening record.
    • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
    • Medically fit for the position.

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • An internationally accredited total reward management certification will be advantageous.
    • Honours and Masters would be advantageous.
    • South African Reward Association (SARA) Reward Certification or equivalent will be advantageous.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development of a total reward and benefit framework and philosophy to promote an interwoven remuneration and rewards portfolio.
    • Lead the development and implementation of Employee benefits and HRMIS frameworks, policies and procedures.
    • Lead the development and implementation of Employee benefits and HRMIS frameworks, policies and procedures.
    • Manage annual regional benchmarking, practices, policies and procedures.
    • Support the implementation of incentive schemes to deliver on the total reward philosophy.
    • Guides and directs best practice, fostering an environment of total rewards understanding for attraction and retention purposes.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of total reward business processes and related cycles in line with Regional mandate.
    • Lead and guide the benefits portfolio across the region.
    • Lead the development and implementation of best service practices, audit and risk management to meet overall internal and external needs.
    • Lead the advancement of a service culture which fosters rewarding relationships, promotes innovations and allows others to provide exceptional client service within a welldefined and understandable total reward plan.
    • Lead the annual regional salary review cycle aligned to the Group.
    • Ensure the provision of accurate and timeous submission of information for Board reports and the annual integrated reporting requirements.
    • Lead the development and design of the reward and recognition principles that are competitive and effective relative to the region.
    • Recommend any total reward strategy and direction to ensure the organisation remains competitive within the mining industry
    • Support the collective wage negotiations process. (Negotiations, modelling, benchmarking, advising etc.)
    • Lead the improvement of relevant HR systems to support the Business (e.g., Symplexity, Maxess etc.) and the integration to other relevant functional areas i.e., Remuneration, Board reporting etc.
    • Lead the management of processes to support accurate labour reporting and audit reporting on a regular basis.
    • Ensure system optimization in developing and maintaining efficiency and data integrity.
    • Oversee and lead the HR Data analytics requirements for the region (WIM dashboard, HR dashboard, operational reporting, etc)
