    Community Systems Technical Officer

    Description

    • Distribute, support implementation and facilitate submission of the tracing lists
    • Adhere to appropriate time & attendance standards and procedures and other HR policies.
    • Conduct facility data review meetings and present performance versus targets to facility staff to enhance data usage for identifying and addressing gaps in clinical service delivery.
    • Stay informed of DoH reporting requirements and procedures relating to HIV/TB, including the DHMIS policy, DHMIS Facility-Level and sub-district level SOPs, ART M&E SOP policies and SOPs, and 90-90-90 DIP cascades and run charts.
    • Stay informed of all DoH data elements/indicators, their definitions, and data collection registers, as relating to HIV/TB services and the 90-90-90 DIP, as applicable within the province.
    • Stay updated on all aspects of Tier.net implementation, including version upgrades, user training, installation procedures, data cleaning procedures, reporting functionalities, and flow of dispatches & CSV files.
    • Stay updated on all applicable aspects of DHIS, including data cleaning procedures, reporting, import/export, maintenance and other functionalities, data usage procedures, and where applicable DDC/eTools.
    • Take responsibility for own professional growth and development, by staying informed of best M&E and Data Quality practices, attending compulsory and/or relevant trainings, and identifying and attending further trainings/studies, as relevant to the career.
    • Build strong relationships with all relevant DoH staff at all levels within the RtC-supported sub-district, with regards to data management, M&E, HAST/PHC programmes, and IT.
    • Maintain good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Any other relevant and reasonable tasks, as and when required, which promote team work / team spirit and contribute to the overall objectives of the organisation.
    • Capacitate facilities with implementing the Tier.net modules for HTS, Pre-ART, and TB, as and when required by NDoH and district
    • Assist DoH and RtC sub-district teams with conducting M&E-related sections of facility assessments/audits, including AG audits and SIMS visits.
    • Assist the facility with monthly Data Quality Assurance from registers to DHIS, including addressing any queries/gaps/errors, for selected TB/HIV- and 90-90-90 DIP-related indicators
    • Complete and send the site visit task list daily to the online data base
    • Submit Tier.net dispatches as and when required
    • Adhere to all internal reporting requirements.
    • Obtain data on key indicators on a daily/weekly basis from all relevant facilities for the chosen indicators and send to the knowledge centre for analysis.
    • Obtain data on key indicators on quarterly basis from all relevant sources (DHIS pivot tables, Tier.net raw data and reports, and pre-ART data), and submit to the M&E Officers for the purpose of donor reporting.
    • Provide the RtC sub-district TA team with monthly facility data as well as sub-district data, aligned with DoH priorities, tools and templates
    • Conduct THIS audit and submit on the online data base at least once a quarter
    • Conduct and submit monthly RDQA
    • Develop and support the implementation of data related QIP’s

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Qualified Social Worker

     Desirable Qualifications

    • Project Management experience
    • Adherence linkages to care, prevention at community or facility level

    Minimum Experience 

    •  3 years’ experience in a health or related field
    • Knowledge of health systems strengthening and application of quality improvement frameworks
    • Experience in facilitating and co-ordinating the implementation of health related programmes and projects
    • Extensive knowledge of community structures and local government
    • Experience of working with communities

     Desirable Experience

    Clinical Technical Officer

    Description

    • Should be prepared to travel as instructed by the line manager to supported sites
    • Ensure good working relations with all staff at supported sites
    • Ensure regular feedback to the program lead as instructed by line manager
    • Conduct systematic and analytical review of priority indicators under guidance of Local Program lead
    • Support sites in the implementation of current ART guidelines and policies
    • Ensure clinical stationary is well understood and completed by all staff at supported sites
    • Implement quality improvement plans

    Requirements

    • SANC Certificate & Registration
    • NIMART certificate, APC training

    Technical Officer - Centurion

    Description

    Project Management 

    • Update and maintain project data.
    • Maintain oxygen data collection systems and tools.
    • Document, review, and update project data collection procedures.
    • Assist in planning and coordinating projects from start to finish to ensure project success.
    • Project management of oxygen work in ADAPT
    • Prepare weekly and bi-weekly project monitoring reports, including progress, challenges, and mitigations.

    Program Output

    Monitoring and Reporting

    • Coordinate and compile inputs from technical team leads for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and submit draft reports to the line manager.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Requirement: A tertiary qualification within a relevant field (i.e. Engineering)
    •  Desirable Qualification: A Diploma or degree within a relevant field (Civil or Mechanical Engineering)

    Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant - APACE

    Description

    • Conduct ongoing situational analysis to identify gaps within the supply chain system
    • Implement systems and strategies to manage pharmaceutical stock in the clinics
    • Mentor and coach pharmacist assistants and nurses to manage stock and maintain cold chain in the clinic
    • Assist facilities with stock re-distribution and maintaining sufficient stock in the facility
    • Ensure compliance with good pharmacy practices and good dispensing practices
    • Train, Mentor and Support DOH initiatives to provide alternative access to chronic medicines (e.g. Adherence clubs, CCMDD & SyNCH, CDU/PCU, PUP’s) and any other related projects
    • Ensure medicine safety systems are implemented at facility level
    • Perform site visits at least daily
    • Familiarise self with rules and regulations relating to Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP), Pharmacy Act 53 of 1974, Medicine and related substances Act 101 of 1965, as amended and other relevant legislation.
    • Familiarise self with Right to Care standards, policies and procedures
    • Ensure availability of provincial primary health care (PHC) pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs), Standard Treatment Guidelines (STGs) and Essential Medicines List (EML)
    • Ensure that all supported clinics have stock cards and files for managing stock
    • Support implementation and functionality of pharmaceutical information management systems used in the district
    • Ensure that stock management files and records are available at facilities
    • Documentation and reporting of discrepancies from suppliers
    • Assist the facilities to maintain data and ensure accurate statistics

    Requirements

    Minimum and Desirable Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Grade 12
    • Post Basic Qualification as a Pharmacist Assistant
