    Description

    Mascor is currently looking for an Apprentice to learn a construction and forestry technical job through on the job as well as franchise training under the guidance of an experienced Technician in order to obtain a trade test qualification.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
       Quality of work

    • Willing to learn the systems including diagnostics.
    • Achieve daily and monthly productivity and efficiency targets.
    • Ensure dealership quality levels are attained.
    • Ensure franchise mandatory requirements are maintained.
    • Endeavour to qualify in the allotted time.

     Customer service

    • Ensure customer satisfaction is at 100% and all queries are attended to timeously.
    • Ensure proper communication regarding jobs in progress

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support
    • Develop and implement tools to assist employees and customers to enhance their product knowledge.
    • Provide assistance to employees and customers remotely.
    • Create and follow up on CCMS cases, engaging with the factory directly 

    Sales

    • Attend to any inquiries on sales from both employees and customers.
    • Fulfill full sales function of precision technology solutions for SA and East Africa.
    • Assist all departments to develop the confidence to operate and sell equipment correctly.
    • Ensure up-to-date knowledge on changing product lines.
    • Identify necessary technology solutions needed by specific markets.
    • Share new features and benefits with the sales department as and when they are released.
    • Develop construction and forestry technology sales tools.
    • Meet budgeted sales targets.
    • Introduce new leading-edge products

    Training

    • Plan, organize, promote, and deliver service and support clinics during specific seasons
    • Enable specialists to deliver training on all precision products.
    • Train customers and staff on available online tools
    • Develop presentations to ensure training or new information gets delivered accurately
    • Maintain John Deere training levels and redeliver to sales, technical and parts personnel as needed.
    • Develop helpful advice to employees to assist with quick solutions. vii. Ensure construction and forestry technology training is initiated and executed.

    Marketing

    • Participate in customer on-farm demos and optimization sharing
    • Introduce new products to their respective markets.
    • Follow up with salesmen to ensure targeted customers receive demonstrations.
    • Develop a monthly marketing plan with 80% execution
    • Share promotions on products at the correct time of the season

    Management

    • Ensure all subordinates' performance management is managed and monitored. Drive development areas.
    • Compile and report on cost to budget for the department.
    • Control stock obsolescence within budget
    • Address customer inquiries timeously.
    • Maintain customer products' uptime.
    • Monitor and Manage outstanding CCMS cases for service relates cases.

    Requirements
    REQUIREMENTS:
    Qualifications:

    • Min: Technical trade test qualification
    • Ideal: Relevant Bachelor’s degree

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years’ experience in the Precision AG field or Technology fields

    KEY COMPETENCIES

    • Extensive knowledge of agricultural, construction and forestry activities and processes.
    • People Skills – the ability to engage, inspire, and influence people.

    Description

    • Plennegy (Pty) Ltd was founded in 1955 and is both a trading and holding company with its core business being related to agriculture and property investments. Together with its associated companies, the group develops, produces and distributes seed, as well as supplies farming equipment, fuel and vehicles to the agricultural and retail industries.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    LAYOUT, DESIGN, AND PHOTO ENHANCEMENT

    • Receive job from customer.
    • Set up a rough layout on the computer and advise customers on various ideas and approaches.
    • Scan necessary artwork.
    • Design and prepare artwork applying layout guidelines.
    • Do initial proofing. 
    • Do all necessary typing for the job, set up captions, and ensure appropriate choice of text, etc.
    • Tweak and enhance photos, touch up damaged photos to maximise impact.
    • Evaluate and alter accordingly.
    • Send proof for approval.

    FINAL COMPUTER-GENERATED ARTWORK

    • Obtain approval of proof.
    • Print the product on the relevant printer.

    • Supervise staff helping with the final product.

    GENERATE QUOTES AND ESTIMATES FOR CLIENTS

    • Generate quotes for customers based on their requirements.
    • Add new customers to quoting database.

    APPLICATION AND BRANDING

    • Prepare all material prior to application.
    • Prepare and arrange branding for vehicles, signs, or buildings.
    • Install and erect signage.
    • Set up the heat press for clothing heat transfers.

    Requirements
    REQUIREMENTS:

    Education

    • Min: Matric
    • Ideal: Tech Diploma (Graphic Design)
    • Legal Requirements
    • Min: Code 8 driver’s license 

    Training

    • Min: Operating large format printers, refresher courses I design and short courses in CAD and DTP typing
    • Ideal: Same Hazard & Safety Requirements

    Experience

    • Minimum – Desktop Publisher – 2 years, colour management and use of appropriate file types for various applications
    • Experience in DTP, graphic design, and use of specialised printing and cutting software for specialised large format printers and cutters – 2 years

    Description

    A role for a Tractor Driver has become available for our Production department in Oudtshoorn. The purpose of this role is to transport materials, plow fields, plant seeds, harvest crops, apply fertilizers, and perform tractor maintenance.

    • Driving and carrying out regular maintenance and repairs of tractors and other farm implements.
    • Operating tractors safely and efficiently.
    • Performing inspections of tractors and attachments like graders, rollers, and plows, and ensuring they are well-lubricated.
    • Using tractors to transport materials and pull or push agricultural equipment.
    • Prepare fields for planting.
    • Harvest vegetables by hand or machinery.
