    Quantitative Analyst

    Job Purpose

    • To contribute to the development and maintenance of best practice models and assessment strategies in line with regulations (where applicable) in order to facilitate world class risk management.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Contribute to a culture conducive to the achievement of transformation goals by participating in Nedbank Culture building initiatives (e.g. staff surveys etc).

    Job Purpose

    • Responsible for the provision of end-to-end data requirements (sourcing, collation, analytics, modelling, visualisation, and storytelling) and to design, prototype, and build next-generation analytics and services by applying strong expertise in machine learning, data mining and information retrieval to enable data led decision making across Product, TS and CIB

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conducts advanced statistical analysis and develop best-in-class statistical models and algorithms.

    • 5-7 years’ experience in a statistical and/or data science role
    • Deep knowledge of machine learning, statistics, optimization or related field
    • Experience with R, Python, Matlab is required, programming in C, C++, Java
    • Experience working with large data sets, simulation/ optimization and distributed computing tools (Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, Arena, etc.)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong desire to work in cross functional teams

    Compliance Specialist: Regulatory Risk Management

    Job Purpose

    • To identify, assess and report on domestic regulatory developments and international trends with specific emphasis on prudential matters.
    • To collaborate on and advise, consider and consolidate cluster(s) and group views in respect of domestic and international legislation and articulate such views at industry associations.

    Job Purpose

    • To lead, guide, support and coach front-line staff to execute effectively upon the business strategy, enabling the delivery of banking solutions to relevant market segments;  ensure client centric experiences that builds sustainable client relationships.
