    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Graduate or Post-Graduate Tax or Accounting Qualification
    • Registered Tax Practitioner or prepared to become a Tax Practitioner with SARS and a recognised controlling body
    • Working knowledge of SARS e-filing website
    • Working knowledge of tax software (Greatsoft and Wintax would be an advantage)
    • Two to three years managing a portfolio of at least 300 tax clients (individuals, companies and trusts)

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • The scussessful candidate will need to have prior experience in a role that encompassed the following responsibilities:
    • Portfolio management of approximately 350 – 450 clients in a tax compliance department
    • Completing of annual income tax returns for individuals (including high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs), companies, trusts and exempt entities
    • Attending SARS appointments
    • Efficient tax structuring for individuals
    • Preparation and submission of dividends tax returns
    • Reviewing assessments received from SARS
    • Objecting to incorrect tax assessments
    • Provisional tax compliance
    • Applying for tax clearances and tax directives
    • SARS dispute resolution process
    • Dealing with queries from clients, SARS and other departments within the company
    • Consulting with clients
    • Attending to SARS verification letters

    It would be advantageous if the candidate has dealt with at least two of the following responsibilities:

    • Voluntary Disclosure Programme
    • Special allowance applications
    • Tax Due Diligences
    • Registration of PBO’s with the SARS exemption unit

    Moore Port Elizabeth Verification Services - Is looking for an Analyst in their B-BBEE Division.  We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented B-BBEE (Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment) Analyst to join our Moore Port Elizabeth Verification Services firm.

    As a B-BBEE Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and providing expert guidance on B-BBEE compliance to our clients. Your role will involve analysing relevant documentation, interpreting legislation, and assisting clients in achieving their B-BBEE objectives. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of B-BBEE codes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

    B-BBEE analysts are involved in evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling the information to produce a B-BBEE score and/or a verification file for their clients.

    The ideal candidate is required to be disciplined, self-motivated and confident individual with a thorough knowledge of B-BBEE. Project management and adaptability is critical to successfully overcome the unique challenges faced by an Analyst.

    Attention to detail, decision making, and time management forms an integral part of the Analysts’ role in successfully finalising client projects.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • The day-to-day activities of a B-BBEE analyst are often varied.  Projects can vary in length depending on the type of project and the demands of the client.  
    • Sector Code knowledge required DTI, Construction, Agri – required, preferred MAC, ICT, Tourism, Property
    • B-BBEE software used by Moore B-BBEE – Mantis, would be preferable, but not an absolute requirement. 
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client organizations' B-BBEE compliance status
    • Collaborate with clients to develop B-BBEE strategies and action plans tailored to their specific needs
    • Review client records, reports, and financial statements to ensure compliance with B-BBEE requirements
    • Experience as a B-BBEE Analyst, Consultant, or similar role

    QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of a relevant degree or diploma (commercial is preferable)
    • 2-3 years B-BBEE experience/knowledge recommended.
    • Have a good knowledge and understanding of the Amended Codes and Sector Codes
    • Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
    • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
