    Serial Production Coordinator

    PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE JOB:

    Coordinates all activities related to own project scope (RS) or Production line (Compo), to secure the availability of parts for the production and the respect of the production planning.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensures that all activities related to own project/production line are completed in order to secure the smooth management of the Production Orders.
    • Coordinates the internal related departments (Procurement, Quality, Incoming, Industrialization) in order to align the material availability to the date of need in production on a 2 weeks horizon,
    • Provides the line-feeding priorities visibility to the logistics team in order to secure the production,
    • Secures the internal production of sub-modules,
    • Checks data accuracy related to the PBOM in collaboration with Logistics and Industrialization,
    • Collaborates with quality to prioritize incoming inspection and quality issues priorities
    • Contributes to the footprint updates needs with Logistics method
    • Main contact for EPU Manager to provide visibility on Materials availability for task sequences
    • Initiates the Production activities in alignment with the EPU Manager, converting planned (production) orders to (fixed) production orders.

    TASKS:

    • Maintain and update the visual production schedule. Monitor the progress and the performance with the line manager daily. Analyse the deviations with manufacturing, PME (Process and Manufacturing Engineering) and Quality, and propose recovery actions to catch-up the committed plan.
    • Manage the complete information workflow, from Sales Order; Release of job, Production time recording, material dedication on the work order and organize the shipment process to the customer.
    • Liaise and Communicate with customers regarding any deviation or late shipment. Inform the Planning Manager and the Supply Chain Manager of all those deviations
    • Perform the levelling on short, medium- and long-term planning. The result of it will be communicated to the industrial planning manager for integration in the ERP.
    • Coordinate the flow of materials to the shop floor by liaising with all necessary interfaces (sites, material planners, warehouse etc.)
    • Tracking & Tracing of missing parts daily with the Material Planner and monitoring COGI with the ERP team
    • Perform work with a constant awareness of improving processes, reducing cost as necessary for growth.
    • Contribute to minimize the product throughput time and maintain optimum level inventory.
    • Ensure Unit On Time delivery to the customer. Update the MPS file timeously.
    • Monitor WIP in the shop floor and ensure production adhere to MPS requirement.
    • Follow up on all customer deliveries complaints and assist with closing the NCR
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently & to work independently.

    Material Planning and MRP Controller

    Purpose of the Job:

    • To supply the project with materials and parts necessary to complete the maintenance of trains and projects and help achieve the customers expected OTIF.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering.
    • 3 Years experience working in a maintenance environment.
    • Working knowledge of Material requirement planning and inventory control system.
    • Knowledge of store/warehouse management.

    Process Manufacturing Engineer

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Drive and manageIndustrial Information System Tools: (ERP, SES, Data & Doc. Repositories)
    • Perform the tests before implementation or update
    • Ensure the data migration and eventually pilot the data rework.

    Site and Operations Manager: Repair Centre

    Purpose of the Job:

    It is to direct, lead and manage TSSSA Midrand site operations for all activities and resources in the repair centre to meet SQCD. The successful candidate will be based in Randjespark, Midrand.

    Manage the site to ensure adherence to safety and security policies.

    The role reports to the Projects industrial manager with dotted lines to the head of services/SOE during the setup of and stability reached.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BSc/Btech in Mechanical or Electrical or Industrial Engineering
    • A Minimum qualification of NQF 4 in Management/Leadership
    • 3-5 year’s experience in production/operations management ( Site & Facilities management an extra advantage)
    • 5 years of experience in the Transport, Automobile, Heavy Machinery, Industrial, Manufacturing or Maintenance Technology industry
    • 5 years relevant people management experience preferably gained in a lean manufacturing environment

    Responsibilities:

    • Successfully implementing company policy and developing strategic plans in the site
    • Deliver financial performance by respecting the budget and maintaining an effective management team
    • Act as the Legal Representative (including the management and control) of the site

    Repair Operator X 3

    The purpose of the role:

    Diagnose problems in malfunctioning equipment, determine the faulty part, and then decide if it can be fixed or to be replaced. Perform repair and overhaul operations, refurbishment in the repair centre, assemble finished product and inspect product to ensure high quality standards.

    Operate, tend, stop, and clean machines, execute dynamic storage maintenance tasks. Realise level 1 and 2 maintenance tasks on special and standard tools in all facilities.

    Network & Links: Industrial teams, Depot operation team, EHS, Warehouse, Logistics Methods, Regional Centre EPU Managers, Production workers, Maintenance and Overhaul workers.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Technical qualification with trade test or equivalent in the engineering field (mechanical, pneumatic, millwright or electrical)
    • Minimum experience of 3 years in the maintenance or production field, preferably in the railway industry
    • Ability to operate pneumatic / powered, basic hand & electrical tools.
    • Experience/ knowledge in workshop equipment and machinery (Crane, Lifting jacks, forklift...)
    • Experience on Bogie equipment/ Pneumatics systems / High voltage (400 V – 3KV) / Airconditioning system (incl. welding or brazing) knowledge will be advantageous.
    • Ability to read and understand pneumatic & mechanical drawings, use schematics, and test specifications.
    • Previous working knowledge of Health & Safety standards
    • Ability to execute the work autonomously

    Robotics Engineer

    Purpose of the Job:

    • Conducts spot welding robot programming to ensure optimal production output.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance in line with established preventative maintenance plan.

    Key responsibilities include the following:

    • Make minor adjustments on existing robot weld programs as needed.
    • Review and improve robotic process and sequence to improve cycle times
    • Provide daily production support for robotic weld cells.
    • Perform robot manual welding when required
    • Check completed parts to ensure compliance with required weld quality acceptance criteria.
    • Modify existing robot programs to improve robot reliability, maintainability, or performance.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for all robot downtimes
    • Work with equipment OEM to improve robotic cells and address operational issues
    • Identify and implement opportunities for predictive maintenance on installed robots
    • Maintain robot welding guns by completing scheduled planned maintenance
    • Follow ISO procedures and standards to improve work processes and safety within robot cells.
    • Continuous improvement of robotic station efficiencies through correction of design deficiencies
    • Robotic station process stability
    • Establish preventative maintenance routines
    • Regular execution of planned and proactive maintenance on equipment to deter failures.

    Requirements:

    • Trade Tested Electrician or Millwright.
    • N. Diploma in Electrical or Mechatronics would be advantageous.
    • Yaskawa Motoman training is essential
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience on robotic operation, programming, trouble shooting and maintenance.
    • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Yaskawa Motoman robots.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience programming Yaskawa controllers
    • Minimum 5  year working experience on Yaskawa DX200 controllers
    • Working knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC
    • Knowledge of IGM robots, K6 UI and Microstep will be a advatageous
    • General understanding of welding timers and guns is desirable.
    • Familiarity with basics of global Industrial Robot standards and specifications
