    Fast-Track Claims Administrator - Parktown

    Role Objectives:

    • The Trucking Claims Administrative Consultant contributes to the organizational goals by registering, validating and finalising windscreen claims, mechanical breakdown claims, bordereaux payments as well as assisting with the distribution of mail received in the claims generic mailbox. Performing claim related functions in a manner that promotes the achievement of Company objectives and service excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Liaise with Broker on receipt of new Windscreen or Mechanical breakdown claim
    • Ensure that all relevant claims documents have been requested and received
    • Ensure cover and all conditions have been adhered to, and relevant doc’s on file
    • Authorise repairs and draw up AOL’s and process payments relevant to the claim
    • Update Systems at all times
    • Handle all claims related queries and report to relevant parties involved
    • Ensure claims estimations are accurate and correctly adjusted
    • Liaise with client, suppliers and service providers
    • Understand claims process and be able to explain this to the client
    • Handle each claim from registration until file can be closed
    • Able to calculate settlements and explain the same to clients
    • Understand and comply with the company’s claims policies and procedure
    • Ensure that all claims related information is recorded accurately and kept up to date
    • Follow up on your diary daily.

    Project Manager (APMO) - Parktown

    Role Purpose:

     

    • Ensure all required projects and strategic initiatives within scope are planned, resourced, scheduled and managed correctly to ensure that timelines are met within budget and that the projected benefits are achieved. Ability to run projects both in Personal and Commercial Lines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Understand the scope of what needs to be delivered and translate these into project plans and schedules
    • Conduct/Facilitate Project Planning sessions with project teams
    • Develop Project Management Plans, Charters, Progress & Status Reports

    • Working knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

    Assurance Specialist (Underwriting) - Parktown

    Role Objectives:

    • Perform due diligence and process reviews support to Insure Brokers, Binders & partners for technical Personal & Commercial lines underwriting.
    • Ensure binder partner adherence to Personal & Commercial Underwriting Guidelines and Parameters.
    • Ensure full compliance to all processes, policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement at the reviewed partners.
    • Perform sample testing as well as providing on-boarding/training across various underwriting binder processes, systems, and products.
    • Assess and measure the appropriate knowledge and skill of future and existing binder partners.
    • Rate findings identified during the review from high to low according to the rating scales developed.
    • Producing a written report with the appropriate findings and required remedial action noted.
    • Presenting findings post review to the respective stakeholders.

    • Provide feedback to Hollard Insure Exco on finalization of each due diligence and process review carried out.
    • Develop, maintain, and deliver IISA approved training on underwriting and standard operating procedures to all current and new Brokers, Binders & Partners.

    • Market Intelligence: Sound knowledge of Personal & Commercia Lines underwriting practices & approaches in the industry.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • At least 8 years’ technical underwriting experience in personal lines and commercial and industrial functions

    • Proficiency in computer skills and computer systems, policy administration systems and document management systems

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The risk and actuarial team provide technical support to the business in terms of pricing and  product design, client engagement and risk management. The growth of the business has necessitated the strengthening of the team.     Risk Officer - Johannesburg

     The Risk Office will facilitate the implementation and management of a sound enterprise risk management and compliance capability for Hollard Group Risk. To provide support to an effective risk governance framework that protects and creates value for key stakeholders, including policyholders and supports the achievement of Hollard Group Risk’s strategy and objectives. Be the champion of all regulatory, governance and compliance matters for Hollard Group Risk in a first line role to assist management in its responsibility to comply with all relevant legislative requirements, business policies, industry frameworks and charters, in order to eliminate or minimise compliance risks. 

    KEY OUTPUTS:
    The role is multi-disciplinary with the following key deliverables:

    • Analysing trends and performing root cause analyses on identified risk events to recommend improvements to prevent these risk events from re-occurring in future.
    • Ensuring that the group risk management framework, policies and strategy is understood and implemented at a business unit level.
    • Ensuring risk identification, control and reporting processes are aligned with the group risk management methodology and requirements.
    • Creating the culture of risk awareness
    • Identifying areas of significant Operational Risk
