    Manager: Cabin Services

    Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for Manager: Cabin Services at our Head Office in Bonaero Park.  The successful applicant will report to the Executive Manager: Operations Support

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Daily management and supervision of Cabin Crew staff;
    • Establish and ensure sufficient staff numbers in line with FlySafair requirements and arrange for screening and selection of new entry Flights Attendant;
    • Responsible for processing occurrence and other related reports;
    • Preparation, control and administration of Cabin Crew department’s budget;
    • A management and other meetings representing the Cabin Crew department;
    • Responsible for the overall discipline, welfare and morale of all Cabin Crew personnel;
    • Ensure that all FlySafair and SACAA regulations relating to Cabin Crew duties and responsibilities are compiled with;
    • Ensure that an approved current FAM and training programme is in place;
    • Issue directives and notices to Cabin Crew staff as and when required;
    • Action all incident/ accident and other occurrence reports where applicable;
    • Action and process all Cabin Crew staff reports

     REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric;
    • Have at least five years flying experience and experience in management;
    • Good knowledge of CAA regulations and procedures;
    • Hold a valid Cabin Crew Member license;
    • Proficiency in MS Office

    Maintenance Planner

    Safair Operations, operating as FlySafair, has a vacancy for a Maintenance Planner at our Head Office in Bonaero Park.  The successful application will report to the Manager: Planning & Records. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Compiling work packs for the Safair fleet – planning for the next check due, making sure that production planning and stores is aware of any special trades, components are needed for checks;
    • Ensure that all tasks on the aircraft do not exceed their limits;
    • Ensure that components do not exceed their limit;
    • Component movements – removal and installation of all components that have been carried out on aircraft during C check or on ATLR’s;
    • ADHOC capturing duties, ATLR’s/work packages;
    • Close work packs after production planning captured the time and work performed;
    • Issuing Release to Service and Certificates relating to maintenance documents on check closure;
    • Create work packs for engines in hanger;
    • Updating SACAA logbooks;
    • Open new logbooks for engines, APU and new aircraft;
    • SACAA Audits Preps;
    • Monitoring short and long term check forecast for allocated aircrafts;
    • ADHOC assistance with Lessor inspections;
    • Keep track Life limited parts and Hard time components.
    • Ensure all regulatory requirements are met on time.
    • Any other special project as and when required.
    • Must be open to work overtime if required.

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Grade 12;
    • Technical diploma or 5+ years Aircraft planning experience;
    • Aircraft Qualification would be an advantage: Mechanical or Avionic;
    • Computer literate; knowledge of SAM would be an advantage;
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for aircraft records and planning;
    • Must have good knowledge of aircraft documentation, i.e. MPD, Logbooks, and Certifications etc.;
    • Previous experience on B737 Aircraft;
    • Proficient in English (written and spoken) and ableto liaise effectively at all levels.

    Special Project, Training & Quality Coordinator

    Flysafair requires the service of a AIRPORTS: SPECIAL PROJECTS, TRAINING AND QUALITY COORDINATOR that will report to the Manager: National Airports and be based in Durban

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure all airports are operating within the policies and procedures set out in the Passenger Services Manuals. Assist with updates of the PSM and procedures;
    • Assistance with training to ground handler staff and monitoring standard improvement by mentoring and coaching;
    • Training to call centre and airport ticket sales agents, customer services related and telephone etiquette, any changes in the FlySafair terms and conditions and Passenger Services manual;
    • Monitor and schedule of initial and recurrent training for all airport stations and call centre staff;
    • Monthly station visit and to provide feedback on service quality;
    • Station start up monitoring, implementation and follow ups;
    • Quality Audits with regards to passenger services and ensure all corrective actions are implemented, also to ensure that the ground handler staff are operating within their standard operating procedures;
    • Attend Swissport/Lanseria monthly meetings and all other meeting as per the Management request;
    • Service provider management and measurement;
    • NPS Analysis: formulate weekly statistic for all departments e.g. crew, airports, call centre, I.T, etc.;
    • On-the-job Mentoring and coaching staff (service provider & FlySafair); 
    • During peak seasons: assist Airport Manager to oversee operations;
    • Assist in “Flight Delay” management;
    • Ensure service providers complies with procedures in place;
    • Analyse incident report to improve operations;
    • Recommend disciplinary action to the service providers for non-compliance;
    • Any other duties as assigned by management from time to time;
    • Provide leadership to Supervisors and staff;
    • Manage the performance of staff;
    • Stand in for Airport Manager in absence;
    • Continuous improvement on quality.

    Senior Warehouse Controller

    Safair Operations, operating as Flysafair, has a vacancy for a Senior Warehouse Controller based at Cape Town International Airport.
    The successful applicant will report to the Senior Manager: Supply Chain.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Conduct inspections on incoming parts when needed to ensure compliance with Work Instructions and handling any deviations accordingly i.e. quarantine, return etc.;
    • Binning of parts received into respective areas;
    • Complete weekly cycle counts in any of the warehouses as and when needed;
    • Picking and routing of parts from warehouse to hangars or outstations to fulfil maintenance requests;
    • Packaging of parts according to ATA regulations prior to shipping if needed;
    • Dispatching of parts;
    • Accurate record keeping and filing of all documentation pertaining to spares movement;
    • Completion of all relevant shipping documentation;
    • Updating of the stock system to reflect movements;

    • Doing full stock counts and rectifications;
    • Doing deliveries to suppliers if needed;
    • Assist in Tool Store when needed;
    • Ensure Warehouse access is controlled at all times;
    • Updating of spares requisition system;
    • Must have good admin skills;
    • Carry out general Warehouse duties;
    • Housekeeping;
    • Carry out ad-hoc tasks as requested by Management.

     REQUIREMENTS:

    • Valid Matric/Grade 12 certificate;
    • 3 to  years warehousing experience;
    • Forklift license advantageous;
    • Must have worked on a stock system previously;
    • Must be proficient in MS Office;
    • Must be willing to work shifts;
    • Must have a valid driver’s license;
    • Own transport.
