    • Liaise with various department personnel

    Performance Management    

     

    • Drive research and development initiatives to ensure continuous improvement and enhanced performance
    • Keep abreast of new developments and potential threats within designated area is identified and addressed timeously
    • Benchmark plant / mining activities and track performance to indicate improvement opportunities

    Process Optimisation    

     

    • Responsible for Health and Safety of all employees for area (Legal requirements/Logbooks)
    • Responsible for optimising production through utilisation of section machinery
    • Responsible for facilitating competency and discipline of employees within area of responsibility
    • Facilitating administration functions for area - general administration/ordering of spare/transport control/fireman's report and section reports
    • Cost control and optimisation

    Production Efficiency    

     

    • Achieve production/drilling targets through optimum output
    • Ensure operational efficiency and quality
    • Assume responsibility for coordinating first line maintenance to limit plant / equipment downtime
    • Control stock levels (where applicable).

    Safe and Healthy Work Environment    

     

    • Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations and practices, ensuring compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environmental (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
    • Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations

    Technical Support    

     

    • Provide guidance and instruction to subordinates
    • Planned task observations to be conducted on subordinates
    • Perform specified tasks within planned schedule as required per area of responsibility
    • Ensure compliance to planned maintenance schedules
