    Professional Officer(Automated Fare Collection and Advanced Public Transport Management System)

    Requirements

    • A relevant Bachelor’s degree/BTech/Advanced Diploma
    • Minimum 2-5 years relevant experience
    • A valid driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Business analysis relating to Advanced Public Transport
    • Management System (APTMS), the City’s Control Centre (CC) and
    • Automated Fare Collection (AFC.)
    • Conduct research and data analysis for a full range of programs, systems, policies and practices relating to APTMS and AFC.
    • Responsible for aspects pertaining to contract management with regard to station operations, cleaning and maintenance of stations, depots and staging areas.
    • Responsible for drafting reports and information sharing with internal an external stakeholders.

    Principal Technician

    Requirements

    • A National Diploma in Civil Engineering
    • National Higher Diploma or B Degree would be advantageous.
    • 5 to 8 years’ appropriate experience in the Maintenance, Rehabilitation, Construction, Design and Management of roads and related infrastructure, especially storm water in the urban, preferably metropolitan, municipal environment
    • MS office proficiency
    • Valid driver’s license

    Key Performance Areas

    • Compile schedules of candidate projects for the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads and related infrastructure
    • Implement and manage projects for the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads and related infrastructure
    • Design, implement and manage projects for the provision of new and upgrading of existing roads and related infrastructure
    • Provide roads and stormwater input and guidance into new developments
    • Assist with the management, coordination and facilitation of all land-use and development applications
    • Facilitate the issuing of wayleaves and permits to service authorities and contractors
    • Training and mentoring of technicians, technical assistants and students

    Manager- Housing Implementation

    Requirements

    • Relevant Degree
    • Minimum 8 years relevant experience
    • Extensive managerial experience
    • Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite)
    • A Valid Driver's License

    Key Performance Areas

    • Initiate, conceptualise and direct the planning and implementation of integrated housing to facilitate the seamless delivery of integrated settlements and related projects and programmes to communities
    • Demonstrate professional knowledge related to project management, engineering, town planning and the like to lead and direct human settlement development programmes
    • Ensure alignment with national, provincial and City legislation and policy and directs and controls key deliverables and outcomes associated with the City's Integrated Human Settlement Plan.
    • Ensure legal compliance and address required outcomes related to human settlement development and skills development
    • Direct and control the financial, administrative and information system requirements necessary for the co-ordination and control of programmes and projects.
    • Ensure internal systems, procedures and controls are aligned to accommodate legislative audit requirements associated with the Human Settlement Plan and the various National Housing Programmes.
    • Disseminate functional and operational information on immediate, short and long term objectives and current developments, problems and constraints in order to ensure information, advice or opinions on relevant matters are made available.
    • To communicate functional and operational information through various mediums and accurately interpreted through the provision of adequate and clear explanation
    • Direct and control outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the branch to ensure a climate conducive to promoting and sustaining motivational levels, productivity, performance and improving the quality of work -life and enabling the branch to meet its service delivery objectives.
