    Senior Project Manager

    Requirements

    • BTech or First degree in Civil Engineering,
    • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant hands-on experience in the Built Environment with a successful proven track record with at least 2 years’ experience working on-site in the implementation of projects, including public engagement in communities.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Built Environment and Project Management functions.
    • MS Project and Excel proficient
    • Ability to operate independently at a highly proficient level
    • A valid Code B driver’s licence and own transport
    • SAICE or ECSA registration advantageous

    Key Performance Areas

    • Managing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of complex high risk capital infrastructure investment within the MFMA environment.
    • Provide project management services, including the fast track and rollout of transport related building projects and project deliverables.
    • Coordinate and manage multi-dimensional project components, including budget control, to achieve tight delivery timeframes on projects which have both national and international investment profiles.
    • Coordinate and manage all project elements of planning, execution and control, interaction with internal and external stakeholders and the management of project financials.
    • Comply with legislative, administrative and reporting requirements

    Technician - Cape Town

    Requirements

    • Minimum National Diploma in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture or Civil engineering
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in construction industry
    • Computer literacy experience in MS Word, MS Excel and drawing software
    • Communication, negotiation and conflict management skills
    • Code EB driver’s licence is essential

    Key Performance Areas

    • Undertake Inspection duties involved in the building development process in order to ensure that all building activities in your area comply with all applicable laws and that any transgressors or complainants are communicated with and dealt with effectively.
    • Ensuring that national building regulations, NHBRC, health and safety, and building quality standards are adequatelyaccommodated in the planning, design, implementation, certification and handover stages of housing projects in the region
    • Ensuring a safe and healthy environment as defined in the National Building Regulations Act, No 103 of 1977 as amended, together with all other applicable laws for the sake of public safety and healthrelated matters.
    • Preparing site inspection reports in respect of unauthorized building work for legal notices / action by others
    • Updating records of house completions by stages for PHP, contractor built and other projects
    • Undertaking site inspection on request by project managers, engineers, building contractors in order to provide on-site information
    • Facilitate reduction of conflict between different groups in a project and to promote understanding of the housing environment
    • Monitoring the performance of all service providers to ensure compliance with their brief and their payment for completed work stages
    • Advising and assisting with local labour issues, including training and capacity building

    Project Administrator - Cape Town

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 and Post Matric Certificate/Diploma
    • 2 years’ relevant Project Administration experience
    • Experience of supporting and coordinating projects for Senior/Executive Management (advantageous)
    • Knowledge of the six stages of the built environments’ Professional Service Providers (advantageous)
    • Knowledge of Contract Management processes and systems (advantageous)
    • Computer literate (Full Microsoft Suite Proficiency)
    • Code 08 Drivers licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Providing administrative services for the completion of baseline documents to Manager/Director
    • Evaluating and reporting the actual performance of the project against the planned scope, cost, time and quality performance baselines
    • Compiling and distributing agendas and minutes for project meetings and workshops
    • Preparing procurement motivations, obtain approvals and initiate process on request of Manager/Director
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success
    • Ensure compliance to COCT processes and procedures
