    Logistics Manager - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Translate the business strategy into supply chain network strategies to optimize deliveries throughout the Mining Pillar (AECI Mining Explosives and AECI Mining Chemicals) internationally.
    • Through the use of the TMS system, create route plans for best costs.
    • Seek cost saving opportunities through leveraging the internal networks.
    • Facilitate and oversee the order fulfilment function within the scope of responsibility, ensuring on-time and full deliveries to customers.
    • Address logistics-related internal and external challenges that affect business continuity.
    • Address any external concerns brought up by the regulating body's chief explosives inspector.
    • Leading ongoing audits of all carriers' safety and compliance.
    • Assesses existing operations, identify areas of improvement, and implement solutions to drive efficiency.
    • Identify areas of risk and develop measure to eliminate, reduce and control them.
    • Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related qualification.
    • 10 years’ experience managing a large/global supply chains preferably in the transport industry.
    • Experience in moving dangerous goods will be advantageous.
    • In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles and processes as well as the transport environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of supply chain models and best practice in the mining environment.
    • Knowledge of regulations relating to logistics and transportation e.g. OHS Act, Explosives Act and local customs and import/export regulations.
    • Advanced supply and demand planning knowledge.
    • Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management.
    • Experience managing projects.
    • Process optimization skills.
    • Financial acumen (to optimize for costs).

    Engineering Procurement Specialist - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Collaborate closely with the Projects & Engineering team to timely procure equipment, spares, and services in line with the technical specifications.
    • Possess a solid understanding of engineering principles and technical specifications related to the equipment, materials, and services procured.
    • Prepare RFP and RFQ documents.
    • Negotiate and implement long-term agreements with key suppliers.

    Regional Manager - Welkom

    Job Description    

    • Contributes to and implements the Management/Leadership function in the region, i.e. being accountable for the long-term growth and profitability of the region.
    • Accountable for current business which includes UBS, Packaged Explosives, Accessories, Centralized Blasting Networks and Value Added Services by defining and meeting the needs of the customer base in terms of quality, reliability, technical support etc. while delivering on shareholder requirements in terms of financial measures.
    • Appointed in terms of the Occupational Safety and Health Act for SHE.
    • Achieves and sustains acceptable World Class standards within area of control.
    • Must actively promote and manage the Company’s vision and values by demonstrating a hands-on approach in the planning, leading, organising and control of this aspect.
    • Assists the Divisional Director in the management of existing supply contracts, the compiling of tenders for new business and has input into the preparation for annual price negotiations for customers within the region, as well as being held accountable for the preparation and delivery of the defined regions sales, profit, operating and fixed costs budgets and meeting set targets as stipulated.
    • The incumbent is accountable for effective management of his people via IR, Leadership & Growth, etc.

    General

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • BSC Mining degree or NHD plus a Mine Overseer’s or Managers Certificate.

    Warehouse Manager - Umbogintwini

    Job Description    

    • Manage warehouse activities in alignment with compliance regulations, company policies and procedures
    • Responsible for inventory management, resource management and cost controls.
    • Responsible to coordinate monthly cycle counts, investigate variances, and finalize stock counts reports for the Supply Chain Manager for approval.
    • Ensure the FIFIO method of stock issuing is always being carried out.
    • Manage slow moving, future expiring & dead stock with the relevant departments.
    • Prepare departmental budget as well as task assignments and work plans.
    • Manage suppliers and service providers to ensure legislative compliance and uninterrupted operations.
    • Responsible for internal and external departmental audits and closing out findings.

    • Ensure all warehouse equipment, including moving machinery, is maintained in a safe and good working order and compliant to all statutory requirements.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or Warehousing Management or NQF equivalent.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
    • In depth understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, safety requirements and resource management.
    • Computer literate with MS Office proficiency.
    • SAP knowledge and experience advantageous.

    Job Description    

    • Prepare month end journal entries to be reviewed by HO Financial Accountant
    • Review journals prepared by subordinates
    • Review and authorise all payments in accordance with AP policy
    • Prepare Head Office and subsidiaries trial balances monthly
    • Prepare cost centre reports and analyse variances
