    Consultant, Proactive Sales - North West

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To provide an efficient and effective point of contact for new and existing Consumer Clients within the Branch and through Proactive initiatives. To provide an onsite selling capability to lead sources and acquire new business within the relevant Local Market. To ensure that the clients' banking needs are identified and fulfilled efficiently and cost-effectively, while managing the risks associated with new accounts, mandates and specimen signatures.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Experience Required:

    • 7-10 years Transaction Management skill set, expert knowledge of Trade Loans and Commodity finance.

    Manager, Corporate Actions, Tax

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Ensure all operational functions relating to event processing and event notifications is performed efficiently which will result in cost effective and high quality service to customers. 
    • The role will be accountable to ensure any potential discrepancies are identified and resolved prior to final market elections. Specific emphasis is placed on the Dividend Withholding Tax component and client reclaims, issuer services functions and managing of internal accounts. Assist the Corporate Action Head in achieving the division’s goals and objectives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BCOM Degree
    • Written and passed the Strate Compliance Exam

    Experience

    • Experience in working with Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), Johannesburg Stock Exchange, Share Trading Transaction Totally Electronic (Strate) and Banking Network Custody System (Bancs), Strate rules and Derivatives, Withholding Tax experience.
    • People management experience including, conflict management, coaching and mentoring staff, driving reward and recognition in the team and ensuring appropriate disciplinary action taken where required.

    Analyst: Corporate Actuarial

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To assist with the full implementation of IFRS 17 within Standard Insurance Limited. In particular, to assist with the data preparation and transformation for IFRS 17 purposes.
    • To perform monthly calculations of IFRS 17.
    • To perform investigations relating to IFRS 17 reports.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3-year BSc or BCom with Actuarial majors
    • Honours is an advantage
    • Member of Actuarial Society of South Africa / Member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. 
    • At least 6 exemptions / actuarial exam passes 
    • Knowledge of statistics.
    • Understanding of insurance business principles. 
    • Understanding of balance sheet structures and capital implications.
    • Knowledge of actuarial processes and control cycle (reserving, capital modelling).
    • Knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance products.
    • Knowledge of IFRS 17 and/or IFRS 4.
    • Knowledge of the product development process.
