    Head, Business Management Equities

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To support overall Global Equities Product in defining, adapting and embedding overall strategic and operational objectives through the provision of high-quality advisory, analytical, project management and administrative capability and represent the legal entity to internal and external stakeholders to optimise operational efficiency and business continuity.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Lead strategic imperatives by partnering relevant networks and stakeholders to plan and operationalise priorities to deliver results on a day-to-day, quarter-to-quarter basis. Execute and demonstrate results against the Equities strategy through periodic market reviews and reporting to the appropriate governance forums. Manage preparation and efficient running of board meetings to meet governance standards and requirements.
    • Apply in-depth understanding of the Equities  operating model, value chain and future ready strategy to align strategic Equities  initiatives to SBG and CIB strategies and drive efficiency, sustainability and resilience to optimise  delivery and business performance
    • Develop and leverage strategic relationships and partnerships with a  network of internal and external stakeholders and key decision maker to drive the identification, implementation and management of key initiatives to improve business opportunities and meet targets across SBG and CIB.
    • Manage Financial decisions and trade–off including best practices and trends to optimise operational efficiency, client experience and economic value. Manage and monitor business performance across the legal entity and provide best practice guidance to achieve strategic objectives. Monitor and optimise effective use of limited assets to deliver operational efficiency and transform the client experience to drive economic value and prepare future readiness across the Equities  value chain.
    • Monitor trends and establish strategic partnerships in line with the overall Equities strategy to identify and mobilise specific technology enablers and impact on processes across the value chain, resources and budget. Partner with business and Technology to Analyse, monitor and manage technology enablers to provide a seamless and favourable global client experience across the value chain.
    • Partner with Business heads to manage the Equities product development and commercialization process to ensure successful implementation and growth of products penetration in new markets and geographies in line with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives to increase revenue. 
    • Accountable for reporting and managing Equities and SBG strategic risk on behalf of the Board  across geographies to obtain and protect license to operate and sustainability to ensure operational resilience within the business context. Ensure the implementation and adherence to controls to monitor and mitigate risks specific to different geographies.
    • Collaboration with CIB Digital, GM Digital,  Technology and Business Heads to define, manage and implement a digitization roadmap to enable platform functionality, legality, commercialization and utilization to achieve GM strategic objectives.
    • Actively manage and influence risk and governance committees on current and future Equities risk governance and control matters to ensure the business is compliant and meets current and future governance requirements. Act as a central point of co-ordination for Equities (seperately regulated to SBG) specific regulatory changes to ensure compliance to regulatory changes or external factors impacting business operations.
    • Prioritise and allocate work, and offer technical guidance, on-the-job training and constructive feedback to the team to build capability and improve efficiency. Manage and monitor daily team activities to ensure performance metrics are met and service level agreements are maintained.
    • Coordination and facilitation of data sources and reporting requirements from several sources to provide a comprehensive view of business performance at the right level and accuracy..
