    Artisan: Electrical - Nigel

    Description

    • Responsible for electrical maintenance of all Grain handling equipment in the grain storage facilities.

    Requirements

    REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING    

    • Qualified Electrician (Trade Certificate: Electrician)
    • Wireman’s Licence (3phase Installation Electrician) will be an advantage

    REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE            

    • Minimum 3 years working experience post trade certificate.
    • Previous experience within a Grain handling facility will be an advantage.
    • Competent in Solar and Green energy installations.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS         

    • Perform maintenance of all electrical equipment in silos.
    • Execute planned and emergency maintenance on silo equipment by systematically inspecting silos, ordering correct spares and replacing worn parts.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and that protective equipment is used as prescribed.
    • Control assets and conduct regular inspections of all assets including company vehicles and tools.
    • Monitor employee performance standards, identify training and development needs and ensure fair disciplinary processes to address any deviations.

    Senior Accountant - Centurion

    Description

    • Support to the financial manager which includes the maintenance of general ledger accounts, fixed asset controls, opex analysis, forex management and the completion and submission of the tax and group reporting packs.

    Requirements

     REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING

    • BCom Accounting or Financial Accounting
    • Completion of SAICA Articles will be an advantage

    REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE  

    • 3 years' experience in an accounting or financial accounting environment is essential.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS  

    • Ensure that all transactions are recorded per the Afgri Milling, a division of PhilAfrica Foods policy and procedures manuals and standards and that all transactions are done in accordance with the approved DOA (Delegation of Authority).
    • Accurate and timely processing of items to the general ledger accounts.
    • Ensure that asset movements are accounted for in the correct financial year-end and that the necessary approvals obtained as per DOA for all asset movements.
    • Responsible for accurate and timeous capitalisation/disposal/scrapping of assets and reconciling and balancing asset register to GL.
    • Accurate preparation and timely completion of the balance sheet reconciliations as per monthly deadlines, analyse, follow up and report any differences between all balance sheet accounts and supporting documents.
    • Analyse and report in detail on all operational expense accounts in the trial balance, follow up any explanations and ensure correct allocation for expenses is done between general ledger accounts and between the different sites.
    • Maintain and manage of forex functionality within SAGE to ensure accurate recording and reporting of foreign exchange transactions.
    • Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial reports in compliance with laws, IFRS and other relevant standards.
    • Accurate and timely recording of monthly Tax and Vat expenses and related Balance Sheet accounts.
    • Submission of yearly budgets on SAGE per profit and cost centre and assist with the preparation of yearly budgets on certain general ledger accounts
