    Sourcing Analyst & Coordinator - Traded Goods

    Job Description    

    • Assist with annual Budgets.
    • Prepare tender/RFP documents
    • Run tender processes and analyse the returned data.
    • Negotiate the best terms and prices for services and goods procured (Manage supply risk.)
    • Compile and implement formal contract documents
    • Ensure timeous extension / termination of contract portfolio
    • Collect data, analyse, benchmark and identify trends using understanding of sourcing processes.
    • Analyse spend data and identify improvement / saving opportunities (i.e. TCO analysis)
    • Support data collection on supplier performance throughout the organisation as part of SRM process
    • Support creation and administration of Purchase Order history, material/service and vendor master data on an ongoing basis
    • Regularly meet with internal and external stakeholders to discuss goals and develop plans to meet agreed outputs
    • Support and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives
    • Assist with Importation and clearance of shipments
    • Apply the relevant procurement processes and manage contractors/suppliers for designated portfolio

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Tertiary qualification in Purchasing & Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management
    • 2 – 3 years’ experience in Contractual Procurement, Data Analytics & Handling of Import documentation
    • Experience with ERP / and or spend management systems
    • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other analytical tools
    • Ability to analyse and interpret data and present trends
    • Good command of English (written and communication) for writing, engaging and presentation purposes
    • Understanding of company strategies regarding management of supply chain, financial goals, process efficiencies
    • Knowledge of manufacturing environment

    Accountant - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Perform month end transactional activities e.g., review of adjustments, month end closing procedures and recon preparation etc.
    • Provide first level support in terms of call and query handling across AEL.
    • Perform selected bank reconciliations.
    • Review, approve and post predefined manual journal entries and supporting documentation and narration to journal (ensure journal entries are valid, accurate and complete).
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and follow up on long outstanding items.
    • Prepare monthly memorandum of balance sheet recon issues for review by the in-country team.
    • Align with COE on GL master data maintenance.
    • Capture loading of EFT payments i.e., non-vendor related payments.
    • Release of EFT payments (not for the same country for which you have loaded payments)

    • Ensure all long outstanding and reconciling items on bank reconciliation are timeously cleared.
    • Process petty cash transactions.
    • Facilitate urgent payment requests.

    • Ensure attendance of monthly governance meetings.
    • Comply with all legislation relating to accounting matters.
    • Identify internal control weaknesses and assist in developing and implementing improvement opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with SLA criteria (specific to area of responsibility).

    Qualifications & Experience

    • B Com Financial Accounting or equivalent qualification.
    • 3 – 5 years’ experience as an Accountant or equivalent (with Supervisory experience).
    • Fluency in French will be beneficial.
    • A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite – especially MS Excel and Word.

    Engineering Supervisor - Chamdor

    Job Description    

    • To provide plant and equipment capability, reliability and availability to the Plant and Operation through the application of maintenance.
    • To minimize plant downtime through effective maintenance planning, preventative and predictive maintenance.
    • To manage the use of materials, care for the equipment and plant to minimize wastage.
    • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out to quality and to meet specification requirements.
    • The Engineering Supervisor will assume the legal responsibility of the GMR 2(1) which involve ensuring that driven machinery onsite are properly maintained and operate safely.
    • The Engineering Supervisor will be responsible assisting and leading the Mechanical Artisan, Boilermaker, Welder and contractors in plant and process maintenance and small projects.
    • Ensure all spare parts availability and control thereof.
    • Assist as required with hands on plant maintenance duties.
    • Required to do standby and call out duties on a regular basis.
    • The Maintenance Supervisor will administer his annual department maintenance budgets and ensure that they are in line with the budget plan.
    • Carry out document management retention and completion activities as scheduled and in a timely manner in accordance with planned maintenance programmes, statutory requirements and company procedures.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • A completed apprenticeship as an Electrician or Millwright.
    • Minimum of 5 years of Chemical Plant (preferred) maintenance experience.
    • Minimum of 5 years of prior supervisory experience is required.
    • Significant mechanical, electrical, instrumentation experience.
    • Experience in managing maintenance management systems (CMMS).
    • Good knowledge of the OHS Act as well as the responsibilities that go with assuming the GMR 2(1) role.
    • Proficiency in MS Office programmes.
    • Good communication and management skills and a team player.

    Legal

    • Scrutinizing contracts and raising concerns

    • Interaction with AECI Head office for legal, risk and Governance

    Customer Management

    • Visit Senior Customers regularly and other customers when needed – relationship building at high levels
    • Managing a portfolio of key account customers including healthy and active multilevel relationships
    • Technical presentations at customers on new product launches

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Technical/Chemical background
    • Bachelors degree or Advanced Diploma
    • Drivers Licence
    • MMDP level business post study or higher
    • BSc in Chemistry would be a benefit
    • At least 5 years of Key Account Management experience; or
    • 5 years Sales management experience
    • Sales experience within Mining and manufacturing/Industrial environments beneficial
    • Must have sound understanding of pricing structures, Contracts and Cost drivers
    • Must currently be in the Chemical Industry and calling on customers
