    Group Human Recourses Manager

    Job Responsibilities 

    • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to the executive team on all HR-related matters. 
    • Talent Management: Lead talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
    • Focus on talent retention strategies to ensure the company attracts and retains top talent in the industry. 
    • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR matters. 
    • Contract Management: Structure and negotiate employment contracts, ensuring they are legally sound and aligned with company policies.
    • Provide expert advice on contract terms and conditions. 
    • B-BBEE Compliance: Lead the company’s B-BBEE compliance efforts, including audits and reporting. Ensure that all HR practices support the company’s B-BBEE strategy and objectives. 
    • HR Operations: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management. Ensure HR processes are efficient and meet the needs of the business. 
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the HR team, including an HR Generalist, HR Officer, and HR Administrator. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. 
    • Travel: The role requires regular travel to the Free State and Mpumalanga to oversee HR functions and support site-based employees. 

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor of Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Master of Human Resources, Business Administration, and certification is advantageous. 
    • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the Mining industry. 
    • Strong knowledge of South African labor laws and B-BBEE compliance requirements. 
    • Proven experience in structuring contracts, managing employee relations, and leading talent retention initiatives. 
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive change. 
    • Willingness to travel to various company sites as needed.

    Maintenance Foreman

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee and perform maintenance and repairs on all earthmoving equipment, including excavators, front-end loaders, and other heavy machinery. Ensure that all equipment is operational and maintained according to industry 
    • standards. 
    • Team Supervision: Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of work. Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities and manage resources effectively. 
    • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule 
    • to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery. 
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with 
    • safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to 
    • maintain a safe working environment. 
    • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring that necessary parts are available when needed. Coordinate with suppliers to source quality parts at competitive prices. 
    • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, 
    • equipment logs, and inventory usage. Prepare regular reports for management on equipment status and maintenance activities. 
    • Opencast Mining Experience: Utilize your experience in opencast mining to address the unique challenges of maintaining equipment in this environment. Ensure that all machinery operates efficiently in demanding conditions. 
    • Yellow Plant Expertise: Apply your specialized knowledge of yellow plant machinery to optimize the performance and maintenance of this equipment, crucial for our operations. 

    Requirements: 

    • Red Seal qualification in a relevant trade (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic). 
    • 10-15 years of experience in mining maintenance, with a focus on earthmoving equipment such as excavators, front-end loaders, and other heavy machinery. 
    • Extensive experience in opencast mining and a strong understanding of the unique maintenance needs in this environment. 
    • Proficiency in maintaining yellow plant machinery, with a solid track record of minimizing downtime and extending equipment life. 
    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of maintenance technicians. 
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. 
    • Commitment to safety and knowledge of relevant safety regulations.

    Senior Maintenance Planner

    • Project Management: Utilize advanced project management skills to coordinate maintenance projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. 
    • Manage resources and timelines effectively. 
    • Technical Expertise: Apply your technical knowledge to assess equipment conditions and determine maintenance needs.
    • Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure that all equipment is kept in optimal condition. 
    • Data Management: Use advanced computer literacy skills to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and inventory management. Utilize software tools to track and report on maintenance progress. 
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular audits to maintain high safety standards. 
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance teams, providing guidance and 
    • support to ensure that maintenance plans are executed effectively. Collaborate with other departments to align maintenance schedules with operational needs. 
    • Travel Requirements: This role involves traveling to other sites once or twice a week to oversee maintenance activities and support site-based teams. 

    Requirements: 

    • Grade 12/N3 Technical Qualification or equivalent. 
    • Section 13 or 26D Trade Certificate, accompanied by proof of apprenticeship. 
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance planning, preferably in the mining industry. 
    • Advanced computer literacy, with proficiency in maintenance planning software and data management tools. 
    • Project Management Certificate (advantageous). 
    • Extensive experience with opencast mining, earthmoving equipment, and yellow plant. 
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams. 
    • Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.

    Specialist: Programme and Project Management

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Project Management/ ICT related qualification. 
    • Certification in project methodology: Prince 2 practitioner level advantageous, PMBok experience. 

    Experience 

    • Relevant 5-7 years’ experience in Business Analysis/ Process Analysis/ Project 
    • Management environment. 
    • Experience in Managing Transversal Projects.   
    • Experience in Insurance or Financial Services. 
    • Experience in managing change within a programme is essential.
