    Dealer Principal (Hyundai Springfield)

    OBJECTIVES AND KEY TASKS

    Improved Profitability:

    • To ensure all departments achieve profit margins as per their objectives.
    • To ensure Company attains an overall net profit as per budgets.
    • To continually monitor the financial situation on a daily/weekly basis to achieve financial objectives.
    • To examine all accounts, operating controls and composite figures to initiate improvement or corrective action where required.
    • To ensure high level of contact with the bank, ensuring good cash flow, overdraft and loan facilities as necessary.
    • To forecast peak sales criteria and cash requirements.
    • To monitor and control availability of vehicle and parts stock in line with customer demand and projected sales.
    • To maintain and where possible increase market penetration to meet company objectives.
    • To improve stock turnover ratios, reduce stock holding value and increase sales to meet company objectives.

    Customer Service and Satisfaction:

    • To maintain a high level of customer satisfaction whilst maximising profits.
    • To improve the quality of customer service and retention by enhanced facilities, improved technical skills resulting in lower cost of ownership and improved marketing methods.
    • To ensure high standards of quality and workmanship.

    Cost Control:

    • To maintain effective control of expenses in line with budget objectives.
    • To carry out monthly examination of management accounts.
    • To ensure maximum cost effective stock turnover ratios.
    • To ensure all customer invoices have been prepared and submitted.
    • To examine daily/weekly/monthly debtor situation ensuring collection of outstandings.
    • To analyse all training requirements and related costs to provide a satisfactory staff training and development programme to assure effective staff and provide job satisfaction.

    MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS

    Staff:

    •  To establish and agree labour and staff requirements with directors and line management.
    • To ensure training needs are met and accurate records kept to maximise possible grants.
    • To operate staff performance appraisal system and ensure action taken on results.
    • To establish and review operation of salary scales and incentive schemes.

    Administration:

    • To ensure that the Company is operated correctly within the law.
    • To review all departmental activities and reporting systems.
    • To ensure Company operates incentive schemes in line with Manufacturers' recommendations.
    • To ensure that adequate safety and security measures have been installed to protect Company personnel and property.

    Communications:

    • To maintain good liaison with directors and line managers.
    • To ensure direct liaison with manufacturers, professional bodies, suppliers, statutory representatives and all other contacts.

     Marketing:

    • To plan and oversee the completion of sales campaigns, advertising and promotional activities and to ensure their cost-effectiveness.
    • To instigate research into customer satisfaction and requirements for improvement.

    Finance:

    •  To keep financial structure of the Company under constant review.
    •  To review all pricing policies, sales discounts, fleet discounts, parts pricing and labour rates.
    •  To monitor Labour Performance against known standards.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • At least 5 year experience in the same or similar role.
    • Financial Qualification (Pref) or extensive financial experience. Matric / Equivalent. FICA, FAIS & CPA knowledge

    Specialist: Technician - Service | Motus Daimler Trucks Gauteng West

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Repair and servicing of vehicles according to dealer/distributor standards and within the flat rate
    • Establish parts required for service/repair to be performed and ensured correct parts are ordered
    • Report to Service Foreman promptly on any additional work required
    • Obtain authorization prior to carrying out any additional work                                                    
    • Advise Management prior to fitting any major parts outside the norm for routine servicing/repair
    • Obtain technical information from Service Foreman on problem jobs
    • Adhere strictly to technical specifications as laid down by manufacturer, or as instructed by Management
    • Adhere to laid down workshop policies and procedures
    • Note the description of all work performed on the back of Repair Order if required 
    • Place all used parts in plastic bag, except oil & fuel filters, and place on passenger floor 
    • All warranty replaced parts to be tagged according to laid down rules, and handed to Parts Dept.
    • Ensure all oils and parts used are booked out on Repair Order
    • Ensure vehicle is kept as clean as possible, and use all protective items supplied
    • Ensure work bay is kept safe, clean and tidy
    • Ensure time started and completed are entered on Repair Order (Clocking)
    • Report any faulty and / or broken equipment is reported to management
    • Ensure all special tools and equipment are used with utmost care
    • To possess a complete set of tools, as per distributor requirements, and maintain in good working order
    • Ensure a neat appearance at all times - overalls to be changed after heavy repairs
    • Maintain cordial relationship with workshop staff
    • Training as per HQS Requirements
    • Standby and after hours servicing as per Service Foreman arrangements
    • Accept responsibility for apprentices/helpers and impart through training /explanation/practice, the necessary skills required to perform the job correctly, and thereafter to inspect /monitor the work and rectify any problems

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diesel Truck Technician Qualification (Trade Test Qualification)

       Key Role Responsibilities:

    • Deliver bottom line results while ensuring compliance to company policies and corporate governance.
    • Ensure all departments achieve profit margins agreed to in their objectives/ budgets.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    Experience Required:

    • 8+ years relevant retail motor industry experience, of which at least 5 years dealer operations management experience.
    • Effectively managing and leading teams.
    • Knowledge of vehicle financing.
    • Management of vehicle stock & parts stock.
    • Managing vehicle sales and associated products, parts sales and labour sales.
    • A sound understanding of finance and financial transactions.
    • Sound knowledge of Manufacturer and Distributor requirements. OEM brand experience – preferable.

    Minimum Qualification/s Required:

    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12/ Matric) is a minimum educational requirement.
    • A tertiary business/ commercial qualification, including sales & marketing – preferable.

    • Vehicle quality control, including identification and reporting of expired license vehicles and any other issue that does not conform to our quality standards.
    • Refueling vehicles, checking tyre pressure and oil/water/other fluids after every rental.
    • Delivering vehicles to customers in accordance with our procedures.
    • Handling vehicle check-ins in accordance with company, quality control and claims procedures.
    • Maintaining cleanliness of yard and other surrounding areas.
    • Maintaining the integrity of the company by behaving ethically and safeguarding the assets and interests of both the business and our customers.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • Valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s license (at least 2 years old)
    • Computer literate (basic level will suffice)
    • Must be fully bilingual and able to communicate with customers effectively in English.
    • Able to read a map.

    Administrator: Fleet | Europcar | KZN Depot

    Job Outputs:

    • Support and promote the vision and mission of the Company and promote the image of Motus Car Rental together with ensuring that all Vehicle Fleet Controls together with all administrative duties are performed according to the company’s standards and kept up to date. 
    • Overall management of the E-Tag stock.
    • Maintain a sound relationship with SANRAL.
    • Assignment and de-assignment of E-Tags and manage related procedures.
    • Handle all E-Tag-related queries both internally and from SANRAL
    • Timeous coordinating, preparation, and submission of reports monthly
    • Reports may include but not limited to:
    • Monthly Vehicle Spec Sheet updates
    • NAAMSA - Vehicle Industry Procurement stats   
    • E-Tag Control Report
    • Administrative responsibilities include but not limited to:
    • Monthly Fuel management updates on the Operational system (Impress)
    • Vehicle Model parameter management on the operational system (Impress)
    • Filing and other ad hoc administrative duties to comply with auditing purposes.
    • Assisting the fleet supervisor with fleet planning
    • Arriving and fleeting of new vehicles
    • De fleeting of vehicles
    • Capturing sold vehicles on impress
    • Ensuring licences for KZN are up to date
    • Compliance reports such as spare keys, licence discs 
    • AD Hoc duties

    Qualifications and Experience    

    Minimum Experience:

    • 2 years of relevant administration experience in the industry.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • NQF Level 4 qualification (Grade 12 or equivalent) 

    Preferred Qualification:

    • Business Management or other relevant tertiary qualification.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Valid unendorsed driver’s license
    • Computer literacy with high level of accuracy
    • Essential to Note: The successful candidate must have be willing to work overtime and weekends when required.
