    Creditors Clerk

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    •  M+3 (Accounting/Finance Related ) and 1-2 years of experience in a medium to large Organization

    DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

    •  M+4 Accounting or Finance Related

    KNOWLEDGE:

    •  Institutional Statutes
    •  VAT Act
    •  DUT Finance Policies and Procedures
    •  ITS or equivalent system
    •  Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Internet
    •  Accounting & Gaap Statements
    •  Taxation
    •  SCM ( Supplier Chain Management)

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    •  Business/ Commercial understanding

    DUTIES

    •  Prepares Payments to the University’s Trade Creditors
    •  Reconciliation of Suppliers Accounts’ relating to Invoices on hand to the Suppliers current
    • Statement, before Payment is captured
    •  Follows up on Invoices not submitted for payment
    •  Handles all Internal and External Queries
    •  Meets with Suppliers to resolve queries with related Accounts
    •  Involved in the preparation of the Accrual Schedule

    •  Must be able to work under Pressure.
    •  Must be able to work accurately and meet Deadlines.

    Diagnostic Radiography Clinical Instructor

    Minimum Requirements:

    •  BTech in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
    •  Registration with HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer for at least 3 years post-community service.
    •  Driver’s license.  

    Additional Recommendations:

    •  Experience in the training of students in Clinical Practice in Diagnostic Radiography.
    •  Good organisational and administrative skills.
    •  Networking and leadership skills.
    •  Proficiency in scientific writing and communications skills.
    •  A motivated self-starter, responsible and accountable individual and a team player.
    •  Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power-point, internet and email use.
    •  Registration for a Master of Health Sciences Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent will be beneficial.
    •  Specialised in either Mammography or Computed Tomography 

    Summary of Duties:

    •  Co-ordinate practical training and assessment.
    •  Conduct student practicals.
    •  Co-ordinate Clinical Practice.
    •  Monitor progress in Clinical Practice.
    •  Co-ordination and invigilation of theoretical assessments.
    •  Ensure quality control in the Radiography clinic, as well as manage the day-to-day running of the clinic.
    •  Supervise, train and assess undergraduate students in the Radiography clinic.
    •  Co-ordinate and manage work preparedness programme for students.
    •  Co-ordination of discretionary clinical grant.
    •  Communication with students through traditional and online mediums.
    •  Involved in community engagement projects.
    •  Undertake any additional duties assigned by HOD.
    •  Working collegially with team members towards attaining the goals of the department, faculty and institution.

    •  Registration with HPCSA as a Radiotherapist for at least 3 years post-community service.

    •  BTech in Biomedical Technology or BHSC in Medical Laboratory Sciences
    •  Specialised in Clinical Pathology
    •  Registration with HPCSA as a Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory Scientist for at least 3 years.
    •  Driver’s license.

    Additional Recommendations:

    •  Experience in training of students in Clinical Practice in Medical Laboratory Sciences and Biomedical Technology
    •  Good organisational and administrative skills.
    •  Networking and leadership skills.
    •  Proficiency in scientific writing and communications skills.
    •  A motivated self-starter, responsible and accountable individual and a team player.
    •  Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Power-point, internet and email use.
    •  Registered or ready to register for a Master Degree.

    •  Communication with students through traditional and online mediums.
    •  Involved in community engagement projects.

    Lecturer

     Minimum Requirements

    •  A Masters Degree in Environmental Health / Public Health/ Environmental Management
    •  Minimum of 3 years' lecturing experience in Higher Education
    •  Current and active registration with the Health Professions Council of SA (HPCSA)
    •  Teaching and record of research publications in accredited journals would be a strong recommendation
    •  Preference will be given to applicants who are registered for a PhD

    Recommendations

    •  Minimum 2 years' experience in the Environmental / Public Health or Environmental Management field

    Duties

    •  Teach undergraduate courses in Environmental Health.
    •  Demonstrate leadership in teaching, research and community service.
    •  Take an active part in the supervision and assessment of undergraduate students' research projects
