    Claims Manager: Mirabilis

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric
    • Admitted Attorney and / or LLB Degree with experience (preferably min of 5yrs)
    • Minimum 10 Years Engineering Insurance Claims Experience
    • Preferably 5 Years Engineering Claims Experience at Management Level
    • RE5 Qualification
    • FAIS Representative (Not working under supervision)
    • Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office - proficiency in Word, Excel PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
    The main purpose of the job is to take the responsibility for the handling, negotiation, and processing of Corporate and Commercial Insurance Claims, the person will be the ultimate referral point for their team on technical issues, they will also be responsible for training, coaching, and developing colleagues on technical and development matters. It further involves building relationships with brokers by responding to queries and other outstanding matters.

    • Manage, Mentor, instruct and direct staff regarding proper claims handling and processing.
    • Instructing Loss Adjusters as required.
    • To always ensure compliance with company standards/regulations.
    • Train and monitor team member’s performance and provide leadership to the team.
    • Develop and manage a panel of service providers necessary for efficient claims handling.
    • Liaise with service providers and monitor service levels.
    • Demonstrated decision making & problem solving skills;
    • Liaison / negotiation with Reinsurers
    • Compiling of management reports as required.
    • Continually review and measure team activities against targets, standards, and service levels, agreeing and taking actions to improve capability and performance, so that the team achieves its maximum potential.
    • Responsible to ensure that all staff are up to date with product knowledge, systems use, and related legislation application, through a commitment to formalised training and development, within prescribed timelines and standards.

    What Will You Do?

    • The main purpose of this position is generating new business growth, retention of clients, new and current broker relationship management, market awareness, discovery and expansion of an allocated senior portfolio of broker with annual GWP’s over R250,000

    • FAIS compliant as representative, not under supervision
    • Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office - proficiency in Word, Excel PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook
    • Comprehensive understanding of insurance legislation
    • Must have experience on insurance operating systems 
    • Valid driver’s license

    What Will You Do?

    • The main purpose of this position is to manage (Sales and Underwriting) the Durban branch’s “Brokers under R250,000 GWP” portfolio and provide support to the existing Regional Marketing Manager. 

    Key Functions -  Marketer (Sales and Underwriting)

    • Issuing of quotations within agreed mandate

    • Valid driver’s license advantageous
    • Preferably at least 1 year quoting experience

    What will you do?

    • Santam’s Actuarial and Data Analytics team has an exciting new opportunity available for a general insurance professional. The position will be based at Santam’s Head Office in Bellville, Cape Town.

    • One to two years working experience, preferably in general insurance.
    • Advanced computer literacy skills in one or more of the following: SAS, SQL, R, Python, Emblem etc.
    • Strong modelling skills including experience in performing statistical investigations and building pricing / predictive models

    Call Centre Manager

    Role Purpose

    • The purpose of this role is to ensure that client service levels are maintained within the Contact Centre. Lead and manage a team of Client Service Consultants within the larger Client service team. the Incumbent must be available to work shifts and also Saturdays and as per the shift schedule.

    Qualifications and Experience
