    Job advertisement for Assistant Student Coach

    • TuksTennis is offering a great opportunity for an exciting energetic coach with a long-term vision for Student Tennis.
    • Someone who will be able to provide all aspects that’s necessary for a tennis player.

    Responsibilities

    • Student coaching covers all levels of play, from beginner to advanced. The TuksTennis Student
    • Program hosts two elite squads, and one social squad throughout the week. Further responsibilities

    Include

    • Responsible for assisting the student head coach during the week with elite, as well as social squad sessions.
    • Coaching at satellite schools three times a week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
    • Ability to coach students of all playing levels.
    • Needs to be energetic, organised, and maintains exceptional communication skills.
    • Be involved in organising student events such as res league, club tournaments, Gauteng North League teams etc.
    • Able to take ownership of the student program in the absence of the head coach. This includes coordinating, planning and running sessions independently.
    • Assist in tour planning. This includes budget planning, logistics planning etc.

    Experience & Knowledge Required

    • Understanding of key principles of strategy and tactics
    • Understanding of key principles of game situations
    • Report writing
    • Conflict resolution
    • Computer literacy including the use of MS Office
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Adaptability and decisiveness
    • Ability to work under pressure

    • Reasonable to good playing ability

    Minimum Requirements

    • Accredited coaching qualification TSA Play and Stay. Level 1 would be advantageous
    • Valid driver’s license and own transport to work around morning and evening training sessions
    • No criminal record (Police Clearance Certificate will be requested)
    • Safeguarding certificate may be requested
    • Able to travel with the team and attend monthly meetings
    • Suitable candidate to start first week April

    Workshop Manager: Electrical

    Responsibilities

    To assist the Engineering Manager - Operations in carrying out the maintenance responsibilities by attending to technical problems & other related issues in the allocated area of responsibility in accordance with the UP standard and the Client’s specific needs while ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations. To enable the workshop manager to achieve the objective he/she will need to attend to the following:

    • To ensure equipment is operated and maintained as per the established standards and specification;
    • To assist the Engineer – Operations in identifying equipment/designs that are non-compliant with statutory requirements;
    • To assist the Engineer – Operations in identifying equipment/designs that are close to end of life and need to be replaced;
    • To plan the required maintenance according to the business requirements as set out in the workshop’s maintenance plan;
    • Manage the maintenance execution related to planned and breakdown maintenance;
    • To provide guidance to workshop staff and ensure all maintenance is effectively managed;
    • To manage the maintenance budget to ensure that the required work is done with the available funds;
    • To ensure compliance with all statutory requirements regarding maintenance and operation of installations, machinery, systems and equipment;
    • To provide support and assistance to the Engineer, Engineering Manager and the Deputy Director Technical Services.

    Minimum Requirements

    • A National Diploma in the Electrical engineering;
    • Relevant experience in all of the following:
    • 11kV distribution systems;
    • Electrical distribution systems;
    • Building reticulation and systems;
    • Standby generators;
    • UPS’s;
    • Five years previous experience with should include experience as a Workshop Manager or Workshop Foreman;
    • A valid driver’s license;
    • Experience in working on height and in confined spaces.

    • Communication skills to bring across a message in a logical and effective manner. The ability to use the communication medium (written and verbal) in order to transfer complex concepts (technical and non-technical) without ambiguity at all levels;

    Added Advantages And Preferences

    • A Relevant Batchelor’s / BTech degree;
    • Five years relevant experience in Electrical Engineering.
