    Warehouse Supervisor

    Purpose of Role

    The role is responsible for planning, housekeeping and management of inventory for the warehouse. Managing and enforcing relevant systems and processes relating to the role. Formulating daily operational reports. To ensure materials supply effectiveness by managing the stores department

    Role Context

    • Develop and maintain professional, constructive working relationships with customers and suppliers

    Chief Safety Officer

    Purpose of Role

    The Chief Safety Officer is responsible to for the management of the Safety and Risk Department at a Mine and the optimization of the safety and risk control through design, implementation, evaluation, coordination and management of the safety and risk control systems, as well as for ensuring legal compliance

    Shift Supervisor

    Purpose of Role

    The Process Supervisor carries out the accountability and responsibility for the safe achievement of metallurgical targets in his/her section.  The incumbent will lead and control all activities of staff in his/her section.  The position often takes on the role of coach and instructor to explain how the work should be performed

    Role Context

    Mine Planning Engineer

    Purpose of Role

    The Mine Planning Engineer will be responsible to oversee and produce mining plans for the Week and short-term planning window. Collaborate with the operational team and gather inputs information from other MRM disciplines to produce the short-term planning.

    Role Context

    • Deliver mine planning reports and minutes of all mine-planning activities
    • Minutes of all mine planning functions, meetings and pit visits
    • Delivery of quality plans report within time and with cost effectiveness
    • Delivery of pit balanced ore-mix-flow and run-of-mine stockpiles build up to meet and exceed both volume and grades plant feed expectations/budget
    • Reconciliations of actual performance versus planning horizon (target) with minimum 85% compliance achievement; Enhance the use of planning software use
    • Pits visit to ensure the plan is practical and considerate of physical pit-conditions
    • Deliver balanced ore-path and floor stock periodic plans
    • Reconciliation information and inputs into the reconciliation process. Reconcile actual performance against planning targets and exceed 85% compliance
    • Compliance to the safety, Rock engineering and legal requirements of the planning process
    • Oversee and produce elements of the WOP & STP containing the following:
      • Required grade per ore type and the optimum ore mix mined and delivered to ROM
      • A bench-prep-, drilling-, blasting- and load & haul schedule once a week for the WOP and Monthly for the STP and 3-month STP purposes
      • Alignment between the schedules and between the WOP, STP and the practical execution is expected to receive enormous focus
    • The schedule will also include RC drilling planning and design of accesses and stockpile levels management
    • Conduct frequent pit visit and daily liaison with the mine operations team to ensure the planning activities aligned with the status in the pit
    • Identify system, process improvements within the WOP and STP planning horizons, and implement the approved initiatives
    • Alignment of the MTP and STP
    • Mining access planning designs
    • Deliver plans within time and with cost effectiveness
    • SR achievement deployment
    • Drive the alignment and continuity of the MTP to the STP and to the WOP
    • Delivery of pit balanced ore-mix-flow and run-of-mine stockpiles build-up to meet and exceed both volume and grades plant feed expectations or budget
    • Destination dump plan; Sell the mine plan to the production and get collaboration.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • A BSc/BEng degree or a diploma in Mining Engineering will be considered essential
    • A Rock Breakers Certificate / Blasting Certificate / Mine overseer’s certificate of competency or another mining qualification will be advantageous

    Job specific experience:

    • 12 years in the mining industry of which a minimum of 8 years in the mine planning/technical environment and 4 years on an open mine is essential
    • Specialist software knowledge and application skill (both mine design and scheduling) with packages specializing in the short-term space (between 3 months and one-week periods) will be considered essential
    • Operational experience in the capacity of a pit superintendent or similar roles will be considered advantageous
    • Experience of supervising teams in both a technical and / or operational capacity will be considered an advantage
    • Strong 3D Analytical thinking and spatial perception ability.
