    Specialist, Product Control

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Product control is responsible for the reconciliation and substantiation of the balance sheet and income statement for activities of the business unit areas they are assigned to, including daily P&L reporting and validation process.  The income statement and balance sheet is signed on a monthly basis for group finance and annually for the purposes of the external audit.
    • The head of the team is accountable for the above and responsible for managing and influencing internal and external stakeholders relationships.  Stakeholders include the front office, internal and external auditors, market risk, operations, IT and central finance.
    • In addition, this role involves determining the strategy and goals of the product control team in line with the greater CIB and Group strategy, managing a number of direct reports and reports directly to the head of product control for Global Markets.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Honours Degree - Finance and Accounting
    • CA.SA or CFA

    Experience 

    • 3-4 years’ experience in Product Control
    • 3-4 Years Investment Banking experience with exposure to Global Markets.
    • 5-7 Years Forex and Commodities Experience

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • The Head of VAF Collections is responsible for pursuing bad debts and arrears of coercive revenue on behalf of the organisation.
    • It is also responsible for the administration and management of “Loans Made” by the bank to its employees, third party organizations and other persons.
    • To design and implement strategies for the recovery and rehabilitation of the maximum possible value of all product/assets which are related, whether directly or indirectly, to any debt owed to the bank where the repayment of that debt or any part thereof is in doubt (“distressed assets”).
    • The job covers 3 main types of assets: immovable assets; tangible movable assets and intangible movable assets.
