    Supplier Relationship Management Consultant

    Brief Description        

    • The main purpose of this position is to manage supplier relationships and performance for an allocated portfolio on behalf of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) and its subsidiaries, in order to embed a resilient supply chain.

    Detailed Description        
    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Implement the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program for all suppliers segmented as strategic or critical to the SARB.
    • Implement a framework to monitor, manage and report on supplier risk to ensure business continuity for the SARB.
    • Work closely with relevant stakeholders in the ongoing measurement of the performance of suppliers that form part of the SRM program and implement performance controls where required.
    • Work closely with business to identify the critical and strategic suppliers.
    • Take responsibility for the onboarding and off-boarding process of the critical and strategic suppliers.
    • Maintain the restricted supplier database and alert relevant stakeholders thereof to mitigate reputational risk.
    • Conduct supplier risk assessments on identified suppliers and supplier risk themes.
    • Analyse relevant supplier information and provide reports as well as recommendations for SRM improvement.
    • Collaborate with strategic suppliers to identify innovation opportunities and enable continuous improvement for a more effective and efficient supply chain.
    • Facilitate and manage the resolution process relating to the performance of suppliers that are outside of the SRM program, where appropriate.
    • Manage relationships and participate in internal and external stakeholder engagements.
    • Keep abreast of developments in the procurement field and propose improvements to methods and practices in procurement.

    Job Requirements        
    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Legal or an equivalent NQF 7 qualification;
    • five to eight years’ working experience in procurement or supply chain management environment or risk management environment; of which at least two years should relate to experience in managing strategic supplier relationships.

    Associate Prudential Analyst

    Brief Description        

    • The main purpose of this position is to process, monitor and report on exchange control related applications/transactions by institutional investors and Authorised Dealers, ensuring   compliance in terms of the requirements of the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers and the Exchange Control Regulations.

    Detailed Description        
    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Daily monitoring and reporting of institutional investors and authorised dealers exceptions.
    • Perform work independently within established practices, approved processes, rules and regulations, complying with standards, policies and other guidelines.
    • Maintain a reliable institutional investor and authorised dealers database.
    • Process applications/correspondence and ensure that regulated entities comply to the prescribed policies and the requirements outlined in the Currency and Exchanges Manual for Authorised Dealers.
    • Conduct risk-based inspections.
    • Attend meetings with stakeholders and provide support to management.
    • Prepare required statistical reports and ad hoc management information.
    • Proactively broaden knowledge and keep abreast with changes in policies and regulations of functional area.

    Job Requirements        
    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of

    • a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or an equivalent NQF level 7 qualification; and two to five years’ job-related experience in the banking or financial sector.

    Additional requirements include

    Technical Cyber Security Threat Analyst

    Brief Description        

    • The main purpose of this position is to facilitate predictive and early reactive cyber defence through the analysis or creation of technical and tactical threat intelligence.

    Detailed Description        
    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Collect, analyse and interpret cyber-threat data from multiple technical information sources for the development of actionable intelligence.
    • Perform malicious software (malware) analysis on artefacts flowing from the incident response process in order to identify the behaviours and indicators of compromise.
    • Liaise with internal and external technical stakeholders, providing intelligence regarding threat actor techniques, tactics and procedures in order to ensure correct and timely focused threat detection and mitigation.
    • Work closely with technical owners and administrators to define and rationalise corrective actions based on assessment outcomes.
    • Produce high-quality technical and tactical threat intelligence reports highlighting vulnerabilities covering the cyber-threat landscape.
    • Proactively hunt for cyber-threats through the in-depth analysis of internal technical incident and system information.
    • Identify, imbed and support cyber technical threat intelligence tools and technologies in the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Group.

    Job Requirements        
    To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:

    • a Bachelor’s degree (NQF7) in Security/Information Technology or an equivalent qualification;
    • five to eight years’ relevant cybersecurity work experience, of which at least two years must be as a cyber threat intelligence expert;
    • a security certification in one of the following: Certified Incident Handler, Certified Forensic Analyst, Network Forensics Analyst, Offensive Security (OSCP/OSCE) or any other relevant certifications (an ethical hacking certification would be an added advantage);
    • sound knowledge of cyber threat intelligence processes and tradecraft (e.g. the Cyber Kill Chain and Diamond Model of Intrusion Analysis);
    • an understanding of networking (including the OSI Model, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP);
    • experience working in a Blue team;
    • knowledge of intelligence technologies, including Silobreaker, , , Anomali, Maltego, VirusTotal Intelligence, MISP);
    • knowledge of threat intelligence conventions, including YARA, OpenIOC and STIX frameworks; and
    • knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Powershell and R. (Adventageous)
