    RMC Operator - Houghton

    Description

    Generating and providing System Codes and Exercising Remote access control

    • Update system with relevant information required for issuing codes.
    • Confirm and verify the information received from the applicable stakeholders and complete the relevant security checks prior to issuing codes.
    • Responsible for generating and providing system codes and exercising remote access control of allocated assets.
    • Assist with Adhoc duties as requested by the Supervisor or Line Manager.

    Track and Monitor in Accordance with Allocated Responsibilities Inclusive of Systems, Alarm or Incidences

    • Track and monitor in accordance with allocated responsibilities, via the required systems and follow the appropriate escalation processes.
    • Actively check that the systems are updating regularly and working at the required operating level.
    • Identify and report any SOP transgressions, emergencies or threats identified in accordance with escalation processes or emergency procedures.
    • Verify alarm events with the relevant third parties and action any alarms in accordance with the agreed upon procedures.
    • Escalate any faults with the alarms and provide a status report to the applicable party.

    Administer and Maintain the Relevant Database and Registers on Security Systems

    • Record all transgressions and faults, update and maintain records and generate the required reports.
    • Maintain and update all necessary registers (i.e.OB).

    Build and Maintain Internal and External stakeholder relationships

    • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
    • Escalate any system failures immediately to the relevant party.
    • Assist with incoming queries from stakeholders.
    • Escalate all identified transgressions at centres to the Supervisor.
    • Continuously liaise with centres regarding access control and alarm events.

    Applicable for Operators Sitting in the RMC

    • Control and link the relevant permissions to the ATM Custodian Profiles on the system.
    • Verify that allocated vehicles are visible and tracking on the monitoring system.
    • Monitor and track that SBV Fleet is following the planned route, and adhering to scheduled service points and times on the system and report any non-responsive fleet to the centre.
    • Remotely activate the Vehicle Protection Unit on new generation vehicles, as per escalation process.
    • Communicate with Senior Management in the event of an emergency.
    • Gather Early Warning Intelligence (EWI) and the reporting thereof to Supervisors for escalation.
    • Maintain the OTC System on an Adhoc basis in the absence of the Device Administrator.
    • Send an updated report to the Device Administrator informing them of the new sites loaded.
    • Managing overall risk profiles for each run from start to end and apply mitigation/disruptive strategy.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day online communication platforms with all relevant stakeholders in relation to risk factors / threats towards SBV.

    Requirements

    Work Experience

    • 2 years’ work experience operating, administering or monitoring access control systems e.g. CCTV etc. of which one year must be client related services.
    • Experience within a logistics or CIT industry (advantageous)
    • Previous Call Centre experience and or experience within client services (Advantageous)

    Education

    • Grade 12
    • PSIRA D (Advantageous)

    Key Performance Areas

    Effective protection of company assets

    • Return company cell phones in good working order
    • Check and receive consignment for the day and sign for it
    • Return all ATM equipment at the end of each day
    • Follow dress code in all aspects of personal presentation, as well as ensuring uniforms and body amour are properly maintained

    Efficient servicing of Clients according to agreed standards and procedures Duties describing

    • Plan activities for the day in order to meet SLA targets
    • ATM related faults that need technical attention, report to the bank and place a call. Obtain a reference number.
    • De-activate alarm when entering ATM cubicle and report faulty alarms immediately to Manager
    • Check ATM cubicle for any faulty equipment and report any problems
    • Verify and confirm if all bags are delivered and sign receipt thereof.
    • Lock the ATM cubicle door from the inside and proceed with preparation to load the machine according to procedures. Only the custodian is allowed in the cubicle whilst replenishment is done
    • Request OTC code via cell phone and put machine on supervisory mode before opening safe door
    • Load correct cash in canisters according to procedures
    • Remove all deposits and retained cards from the ATM machine, records the total amount on the run sheet, seals deposit in a stop loss bag and send it to the cash centre via Air tube carrier.
    • Record all seals on the run sheet and send with the stop loss bag.
    • Adhere to all procedures in order to prevent any claims against SBV.
    • Record ATM loadings on Custodian loading sheet after each ATM is replenish
    • Report cash holdings that exceed the maximum authorized limit
    • In an attempted heist, follow procedures to ensure the safety of team members first, and secondly, client and company assets
    • Maintain confidentiality
    • Balance ATM machines according to procedures. This should be done by an independent person.
    • Follow the correct Custodian hand-over procedures
    • Balance ATM every 14 days and sign Balancing Certificate within 2 working days
    • Perform end-of-day functions according to procedures:
    • Return retained cards, surplus cash and deposits
    • Check and return ATM keys (if applicable)
    • Hand-over paperwork
    • Verify all ATM components are in working order before machine is put on service
    • Once ATM machine is replenished and Custodian is ready to depart from the site, he/she must ensure that the area in and around the ATM is neat and tidy.
    • Provide wholesale and retail services to all SBV clients

    Effective communication with bank, SBV and team

    • Encourage smooth running of the operation through effective communication between team members, and Bank
    • Communicate service needs timeously
    • Record any irregularities on fault list and Black book

    • Perform protection duties as and when required
    • Be responsible for ATM site tasks from time to time
    • Render ATM First Line Maintenance duties when the need arise
    • Perform any transactional and or AD HOC duties as required and between SBV and clients which could include any service SBV offers

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements: Work Experience

    • 1 -3 years’ experience in CIT/ ATM environment Minimum Requirements: Education
    • Internal with Grade 12:
    • 1 year experience in CIT/ATM
    • Internal with Grade 10/11:
    • 3 years’ experience in CIT/ATM

    External:

    • Grade 12 with pass in Maths or Maths Literacy with 1 year experience in CIT/ATM
    • Successful completion of CITPO and successful Firearm Competency application
    • Successful completion of ATM training, ATM assessments and deemed competent to perform the job
