    Backup Engineer

    Working at NTT

    The Backup Engineer is responsible for providing a service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. Through preemptive service incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to clients. Their primary objective is to ensure zero missed service level agreement (SLA) conditions .The MS Engineer s responsible for managing tickets of low to high complexity.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that assigned infrastructure at the client site is configured, installed, tested, and operational
    • Perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools and respond to alerts
    • Identify problems and errors prior to or when it occurs and log all such incidents in a timely manner with the required level of detail
    • Assist in analyzing, assigning, and escalating support calls
    • Investigate third line support calls assigned and identify the root cause of incidents and problems
    • Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary
    • Provide onsite technical support to clients and provide field engineering services to clients
    • Conduct a monthly random review of incidents and service requests, analyze and recommend improvement in quality
    • Provide continuous feedback to clients and affected parties and update all systems and/or portals as prescribed by NTT
    • Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization including opportunities for automation of work

    Base OS & System Management Engineer L2

    • The successful candidate would need to be able to report into the closest regional office 3 days per week. As a Managed Services Engineer L2 – BaseOs & System Management, you will work as part of a team of cross-skilled engineers focused on ensuring the stability and effectiveness of client environments. You will also be working with other teams, including the client IT department, and recommending solutions that will enhance business productivity. You'll use your expertise in various technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server, System Center Configuration Manager and others to help improve customer service delivery by ensuring reliable systems are in place.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Install, manage, and support global enterprise infrastructure based on Microsoft Server, AD, System Centre Configuration Manager and Exchange.
    • Provide professional operation and support (troubleshooting and problem-solving) for the Microsoft product stack.
    • Support multi-domain directory services based on Microsoft Windows 2012 and above.
    • Level 2 escalation support for Base Operating System, Messaging, Directory services, and O365 based incidents.
    • Work on incidents, service, and change requests in central ticketing tool (Service Now)
    • Support planning and implementing of changes/upgrades
    • Coordinate with application operation teams on planning and execution of processes and updates within the area of responsibility
    • Cooperate with other infrastructure support teams like Datacentre, Network, Telecom and Security

    • Proven experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, System Centre and Exchange.
    • Knowledge of other Microsoft products such as Office 365, Teams, Azure AD.
    • Experience with Mobile Device Management and Azure in an enterprise environment will be advantageous.
    • Experience with Powershell scripting will be advantageous.
