    Claims Admin Advisor

    What will you do?

    • Client & Customer Management: Handle queries from internal and external customers within set SLAs and in line with standard operating procedures

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Grade 12/Standard 10/NQF 4 
    • BCom Degree (Optional)

    Key Deliverables include but not limited to

    • Request relevant documents from customers. 
    • Administration Ensure the document management process is managed within SLA and in accordance with the standard to the standard.
    • Monitor outstanding salvage and the ensure correct status is applied to the various systems.
    • Handle exceptions in accordance with the standard operating procedure and record the reason for exceptions.
    • Appoint service providers in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure salvage processes are performed in accordance with the standard operating procedure. 
    • Document and Data Management Request registration documents from customers and finance companies. 
    • Receive, file, document, and distribute registration documents to the salvage provider once received. 
    • Ensure accurate record-keeping during the salvage process. 
    • Data Collection & Analysis Collate and analyse information for management and financial reporting. 
    • Work Scheduling and Allocation Organize your own work schedule in order to get the job done. 
    • Supervise junior administrators and assign short-term tasks to others if necessary. 
    • Operational Compliance Develop a working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards.

    Junior Personal Lines Underwriter

    What will you do?

    • An exciting new opportunity exists in the MiWay Actuarial team. We are looking for a Junior Personal Lines Underwriter who will contribute to our risk management efforts. If you are a self-motivated individual who is passionate about risk management and has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, we encourage you to apply for this role.
    • Under general direction, assesses complex situations that involve greatest risk. Provides guidance and assistance to subordinate Underwriters. Within company guidelines, approves or denies applications on own discretion. Selects and accepts major risks on behalf of the company, evaluating proposals rather than mechanistic assessment. May supervise underwriting staff.  These responsibilities may be applicable across all industries and disciplines.

    What will make you successful in this role?
    Minimum Qualification Required

    • Matric
    • Applicable post-matric insurance related qualification (advantageous)
    • FAIS regulatory exams (RE5 or RE1)
    • Where applicable Class of Business or Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training
    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics (advantageous)

    Minimum Experience

    • Proven track record with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in underwriting, sales, or client services in the short-term insurance industry
    • Thorough understanding of personal lines insurance products

    Minimum Qualification Required

    •     Matric
    •     Relevant IT degree or diploma will get preference
    •     ISTQB certification (Desirable)

    Desired Experience

    •     At least 3 years’ experience in Software Testing
    •     Knowledge of various testing techniques
    •     Knowledge of Cypress or similar tools
    •     Knowledge of Postman or similar tools
    •     Experience in mobile testing e.g., Android, iOS
    •     Experience in testing APIs
    •     Candidates with any of the following experience will receive preference:
      •     Experience in an Agile environment 
      •     Advanced technical skills like
      •     SQL
      •     JavaScript
      •     REST / JSON
      •     SOAP / XML
      •     Networks & Infrastructure experience 
      •     Performance Testing

    Deliverables include, but will not be limited to

    •     Catch defects when the agile team is planning a requirement
    •     Perform weekly regression testing before deployment to production
    •     Perform regression testing when required from other teams
    •     Must understand all business areas (front and back-end) not just your teams’ area 
    •     Assist in product version testing
    •     Continuously growing your technical skills (programming, SQL, API, networks)
    •     Pair with other testers, developers, and product owners
    •     Mobile and Web Testing

    Competencies Required

    •     Get clear acceptance criteria when a user story is being discussed
    •     Apply context driven testing with exploratory testing in an agile environment (Scum and Kanban)
    •     Using testing techniques to get testing coverage
    •     Understand programming / SQL fundamentals
    •     Front-end, back-end testing, integration testing
    •     Must be able to test any system 
    •     Always document testing against acceptance criteria of user story
    •     Work closely with Scrum or Kanban team to get working software in production
    •     Participate in all agile ceremonies and limit work in progress  
    •     Mobile and Web testing across multiple devices and browsers
