    Digital Strategist

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Assist Digital Team in creating digital products to take to market
    • Position & grow Mediamark Digital properties in market
    • Assess client digital strategies & assist sales team in creating solutions to meet client needs
    • Drive data-based digital proposals by liaising with A&I on digital stats & research
    • Drive Digital post campaign analysis & case studies
    • Working with Adops to ensure digital campaigns are optimised, campaign deliverables are met
    • Lead effective Digital Marketing Strategies, in collaboration with Brands/ platforms, to ensure client objectives are measured, managed, and exceeded
    • Grow & promote new ecosystem products including podcasts
    • Suggest and manage key research studies with Brand Partners that yield new insights into consumer online behaviour (including motivational/attitudinal behaviour)
    • Utilise first party and third-party data and insight in all proposals and presentations.
    • Achieving the client’s strategic brand and business objectives by working with internal team and clients to provide them with guidance to achieve execution of strategies
    • Support and promote the integration of cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of output to the client
    • Support Mediamark’s Sales Operations division by learning and imparting knowledge with the aim to have digital permeated organically through all integrated customer solutions.
    • Combine an in-depth knowledge of client business objectives, online and offline strategies, and their competitive landscape with a rich background in the digital marketing industry to deliver effective digital marketing recommendations
    • Research the latest digital tools and interactive trends ensuring Mediamark remains on the cutting edge of all things connected / digital.
    • Assist in pitching and onboarding of new Digital Partners.
    • Create integrated "360 degree" concepts that span platforms/ audiences in Mediamark stable across audio and digital supported by data & analytics
    • Assist with client briefs, creative/ concepts/ "big idea" client briefs for integrated strategy & execution within Mediamark stable
    • Sales Collateral Creation and Management
    • Proactive integrated concepts
    • Assist all teams in market
    • Build & cost integrated product created by Mediamark

    Qualifications

    • Matric or Equivalent
    • Sales and Marketing and/or Media Degree/Diploma preferred.
    • Post Graduate qualification would be advantageous.

    • At least 5 years of agency / client facing digital / integrated media strategy
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in and ability to interpret research analysis: Google Analytics; Ad Software platforms (DFP) and to use this to support the sales challenge
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience and working knowledge of Programmatic and Direct Digital sales

    Account Manager

    Description

    Sell radio airtime on behalf of Jacaranda FM under the Mediamark portfolio and manage the designated portfolio of advertising clients according to the Mediamark philosophy
    Carry out any reasonable request by the Business Unit Director

    Duties & Responsibilities

    FUNCTION A:TO SELL RADIO AIRTIME ON BEHALF OF JACARANDA FM UNDER THE MEDIAMARK PORTFOLIO: 

    • To sell radio airtime, to meet and exceed monthly targets
    • To sell digital, and meet Digital Target
    • To sell “Flight Club”
    • Prospect/cold canvas potential radio advertisers and build personal portfolio of clients, secure new business
    • Follow up leads that are distributed by the company and record these on the CRM system, obtain appointments
    • Set up appointments with new and existing clients which includes 40 engagements per month.
    • Develop and deliver proposals and presentations to the advertiser, secure business commitment
    • Recommend ongoing advertising opportunities to clients, secure ongoing business
    • Have adequate visibility amongst client portfolio, to ensure top of mind awareness, addressing client needs, Up-selling & Client service
    • Negotiations with clients, secure business

    FUNCTION B:  TO BUILD AND MANAGE A PORTFOLIO OF DIRECT ADVERTISERS ACCORDING TO THE MEDIAMARK PHILOSOPHY:Build strong relationships with existing clients, secure ongoing business

    • Develop new business and maintain existing business, trusted client service consultant
    • Ensure Client service is superior, maintain top of mind awareness
    • Resolve client related queries, efficiency and client service
    • Participate in entertainment functions aimed at developing relationships
    • Provide a full sales support function to the advertiser , trusted relationship, Media Consultant to client
    • Be accountable to advertisers, including feedback and follow-ups, client service and relationship trust
    • Keep client updated with information supplied by Mediamark and stations, trusted media consultant to client
    • Deliver information where necessary (including rate cards, gifts, invitations)
    • Annalise sales information for forward planning, understand your client’s business
    • Keep abreast of latest research information, sound product knowledge
    • Engage in fact finding activities to keep informed of industry information, sound industry knowledge
    • Be accountable for the expectation on the CRM system and the Dynamic scorecard, client service and appraisals

    FUNCTION C:  TO CARRY OUT ANY REASONABLE REQUEST BY THE BUSINESS UNIT DIRECTOR:

    •  Ad hoc duties

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Degree or equivalent from college in sales/marketing preferred
    • Valid driver’s license and motor vehicle

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and telephonic
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Basic understanding of marketing tools:  RAMS, Telmar, Adex, etc

    Experience

    • At least 3 – 4 years sales experience (media experience an advantage)
    • Basic understanding of marketing tools:  RAMS, Telmar, Adex, etc
