    Master Installation Electrician

    Job Purpose:

    To oversee and perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with national electrical codes and standards. The Master Installation Electrician will be providing technical guidance and ensuring the safety and efficiency of all electrical projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Installation and Maintenance:

    • Plan, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and       industrial settings
    • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
    • Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, conduits, circuit breakers, and other electrical components

    Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure all electrical installations comply with national electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., SANS 10142-1).
    • Conduct safety inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify and rectify potential hazards.
      Implement and adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

    Supervision and Training:

    • Supervise and mentor junior electricians, apprentices, and support staff.
    • Provide technical guidance and training to ensure high-quality workmanship and professional development.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training or development programs as needed.

    Project Management:

    • Plan and manage electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
    • Coordinate with other trades and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.

    Troubleshooting and Repairs:

    • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, providing effective solutions to restore functionality.
    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

    Customer Service:

    • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate electrical       solutions.
    • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour with clients and stakeholders.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Education:

    •   Relevant Electrical Trade qualification.
    •   Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.

     Certification:

    • Valid Master Installation Electrician license issued by the Department of Labour (DoL) in South Africa.
    • Registration with the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) or a similar professional body is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

    Skills and Competencies:

    •   Strong knowledge of national electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., SANS 10142-1).
    •   Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
    •   Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
    •   Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.

    •   Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Working Conditions:

    Piping Draughtsperson

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    •  Produce quality technical outputs which satisfy all requirements (Clients and applicable Standards) by adhering to internal processes within the draughting team. The position is a 100% technical.

     KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

     Participate as part of the proposals team.

    • Concept development.
    • Work in collaboration with the existing engineering team.
    • Basic and detailed design development.
    • Perform 2D/3D piping outputs.
    • Participate in model reviews.
    • Review responses.
    • Support during installation (site presence, guidance on models/routing, drawing changes etc.)
    • As-built documentation.
    • Participating in lessons learnt.                                                                      

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    •  Minimum National Certificate level 4 in a relevant draughting qualification from an accredited college or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 4 years in piping / Energy Industry.

    • Experience in 3D modelling environment (PDMS, PDS, AutoCAD Plant3D and/or SP3D)

    Creditors Clerk

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    Lesedi Nuclear Services’ mission is to be the company of choice in the nuclear industry, delivering quality technical solutions. Professional, ethical and compliant financial processes are fundamental to this mission. These processes are instituted and maintained by the finance department within which the creditors’ clerk plays a fundamental role in the management and reconciliation of the supplier accounts.

    Reporting to the Financial Manager, this position is responsible for the verification, processing and reconciliation of all creditors’ accounts of all the projects

     KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    Invoice Processing and Reconciliation:

    • Capture of and reconciliation of creditors invoices and payments back to general ledger and supplier statements.
    • Match invoice against purchase orders for goods and services received.
    • Identify invoices that are for expenses relating to more than one month (for example an annual subscription) and periodically allocate.

    Supplier Management:

    • Liaise with procurement and project managers on supplier activities.
    • Effective handling of creditor queries and referral to management of unresolved issues.
    • Meet creditor payment due dates.
    • Manage the "received, not yet invoiced" and "accrual sub-contractors (certified, not yet invoiced)" accounts to make sure all invoices are received and matched timeously.
    • Manage advance payments to set off against suppliers when invoices are received.

    Cash Management:

    • Capture all payments and receipts from the bank statement into the cashbook via an upload from bank statements.
    • Process and control petty cash and credit card statements.
    • Prepare monthly bank, petty cash and credit card recons.
    • Assist with daily cashflows.
    • Prepare payments and upload to the bank.

    Group Company Transactions:

    • Processing of group companies' invoices & bank statement.

     QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric
    • National Diploma in Accounting/ Finance or similar qualification.
    • Proficiency in the use of an ERP system.
    • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and accountancy practices.
    • 3+ years’ experience in a credit control environment.

     KNOWLEDGE & BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES

    Knowledge:

    • Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
    • Sound understanding of the procurement process.
    • Sound understanding of VAT requirements in relation to credit control.

    Senior Manager: Engineering

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    • To lead, manage, continuously improve and be responsible for the engineering function, ensuring the quality, quantity and milestone outputs meet all requirements as set by the project and industry best practices.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Design and develop engineering strategy and policies aligned with the division's functional strategy
    • Set up and maintain engineering policies, best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and change management processes
    • Manage the engineering department budget – planning, forecasting and reporting
    • Ensure technical quality and timely delivery of engineering work
    • Resource and manpower planning, utilization monitoring and reporting

    EXPERIENCE

    • 20+ years' experience in engineering and project execution environment
    • 15+ years' experience in engineering design, with at least 10 years ideally in the nuclear and/or power generation industry
    • At least 5 years' senior management experience, including leading and managing a multi-disciplinary engineering team
