    HR Business Partner

    Provide strategic HR focus and direction to the Sedibeng Brewery by driving the HR strategic imperatives in order to deliver a high-performance culture. Lead the understanding of people and organizational implications of the business strategy and goals across the business unit leadership team and in so doing, influence the business agenda. Focus on strategic activities and evaluate HR services and value delivered to the business units.
     
    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic HR partnership with departmental heads.
    • Providing people direction to maximize performance, sound employee relations, high staff morale and devise functional strategy to unlock full potential of the talents through diversity and inclusion.
    • Contribute meaningfully to drive the people agenda for the overall business success and drive optimum cost efficiencies.
    • Work with the departmental heads to review fit for purpose org structures.
    • Support line management with job profiles and arrange job evaluations as and when necessary.
    • Facilitate rollout of functional competencies in area of responsibility.
    • Train managers and employees on HEINEKEN behaviours and values.
    • Assist departmental heads to interpret climate survey results and develop action plans.
    • Coach managers and employees on the use of the performance Management systems.
    • Support line managers with calibration sessions in their areas of responsibility.
    • Ensure that departments set SMART objectives in areas of responsibility.
    • Prepare performance trend report and coach managers on the execution of performance improvement initiative.
    • Work with departmental managers to identify future talent needs and prompt the People & Organizational Development team.
    • Support hiring managers to fill vacant positions by utilizing fit for purpose sourcing methods.
    • Manage the recruitment process to ensure completion of recruitment activities within targeted timelines.
    • Provide guidance to hiring managers on employment equity targets.
    • Review talent analysis report.
    • Execute all types of employees exits.
    • Conduct exit interviews where applicable.
    • Manage Dispute and Grievance procedures.
    • Ensure that effective IR practices are adhered to and maintained.
    • Overseeing dispute resolution involving employees, management and unions.
    • Ensure that robust Employee Relations policies are implemented in alignment with the Group HR strategy and business needs.
    • To monitor labour legislation developments and implement appropriate strategies to ensure compliance and minimize business risk. 
    • To build and maintain excellent relationships between management, employees and employee representatives.

    Education and Experience

    • Minimum of 4 – 6 years relevant HR Generalist experience within a unionized environment
    • Work experience within a Manufacturing environment will be advantageous.
    • Sound knowledge of HR best practices and procedures as well as appropriate labour legislation, e.g. Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, etc.
    • Proven experience regarding IR practices and the management of discipline, CCMA rules and procedures.
    • Experience with learnership programs and the management of talent/succession planning.
    • Good business acumen and successful problem-solving experience leading to lasting employee relations solutions within a business.
    • Computer literate and technologically savvy in the general office management systems e.g.  MS Office as well as HR Information Systems e.g., SAP.

    HR Practitioner

    Key Responsibilities

    • Optimisation of HR policies, procedures, work instructions and processes.
    • Recruitment and selection of competent people in accordance with Labour law and company policies.
    • Execute and coordinate performance management at plant level.
    • Effective planning, coordination and execution of training events at plant level according to training policies and procedures
    • Conduct regular HR user satisfaction surveys.
    • Assist in compiling annual Personnel and Training budgets.
    • Monitoring, reporting and declaring variances on Personnel and Training budgets.
    • Assist in keeping the plant organisational structure updated and accurate
    • Timeous and accurate weekly & monthly HR reporting
    • Assist in establishing sound relationships and networks with all stakeholders
    • Assist in ensuring a sound IR Climate
    • Ensure HR administration are done timeously and accurately
    • Monitor and control of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
    • Actively participate in the Mini business operating system

    Education and Experience

    • Diploma or Degree in HR management or Industrial Psychology.
    • A sound knowledge of all relevant labour laws is essential.
    • 2-3 years experience in HR within an unionised environment
    • A valid code 8 driver’s license.
    • Demonstrated competencies of recruitment and selection practices, training and development and improving employee relations are essential.
    • Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure
    • Good interpersonal relationship skills
    • Good communication, consultation and negotiation skills
    • Demonstrate good leadership behaviour towards colleagues, superiors and company values
    • Proven computer literacy in Ms Office, SAP will be advantageous.

    HR Admin Controller

    Key Responsibilities

    • End to end administration of the BES attendance system.
    • Ensure accuracy of the data on the BES suite before exporting to Payspace for payroll payments.
    • Compile and distribute accurate and timeous monthly overtime provision, leave and attendance reports.
    • Process invoices for the Supply Chain HR department – ensuring adherence to SLAs
    • Ensure general personnel administration is accurate and captured timeously on the HR administrative system.
    • Compile monthly HR report for the full Supply Chain
    • Assist with recruitment, promotions, transfer initiatives.
    • Communicate with and advise employees on HR related practices, policies and procedures.
    • Ad-Hoc administration duties (payroll & benefits, birthday packs orders)
    • Monitor departmental expenditure against budget and report on variances.
    • Assist in establishing sound relationships with all stakeholders.

    Education and Experience

    • National Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent 
    • Computer literate in MS Office up to Intermediate level.
    • Exposure to T&A systems will be considered advantageous.
    • 2-3 years experience in HR administration.
    • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to garner cooperation from others.
    • Attention to detail is essential.
    • Good interpersonal relationship skills
