    Explosive Operator

    ABOUT THE ROLE / PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To provide supports the mining services team objectives and business imperatives by providing efficient coaching and advice to the customers on the application of ENAEX explosives products while enhancing the customer/supplier relationship.

    Duties include; but are not limited to:

    •         Identify the correct product application
    •         Identify incorrect charging up practices
    •         Conduct blast surveys according to the designed criteria
    •         Demonstrate the charging up and connecting of all ENAEX explosives products
    •         Apply the use of the product as per the product application training
    •         Apply the safe handling, storage and transport of explosives
    •         Investigate misfires or cut offs
    •         Demonstrate the application of EZ Stopper, EZ Drifter,Dual Det, LP Primadet, EZPT Trunkline, Detacord, Zapcord, Expanfo, Explogel, Ermex products.
    •         Demonstrate the application of DDS , SDS, SafeBlastamd SafeStart products..
    •         Housekeeping of work area
    •         Identify workplace hazards and associated risks and deal with it appropriately ( Hirac & Risk Assessment)
    •         Knowledge of relevant hand tools
    •         Knowledge of emergency procedures
    •         Comply to the Mine`s safety and health procedures
    •         Attend to mines induction training
    •         Maintain basic safety, health and environment issues
    •         Assess the product application practices
    •         Identify incorrect product application practices
    •         Demonstrate and coach the correct practices

    Requirements
     Minimum Requirements and Experience:

     QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
     

    •         Grade 12
    •         Competent B
    •         Blaster Assistant Skills Programme
    •         Minimum 2 years underground mining experience


    KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

    •         Good communication skills
    •         Working independently.
    •         Demonstrate the capability to apply ENAEX products correctly
    •         Know safety precautions

    SHE Management Systems and GAR Practitioner

    Description
    FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS

    •        Coordinate and deliver effective management, review and continuous improvement of quality processes, systems, and tools across the business.
    •        Actively support and deliver ongoing improvements to the Integrated Management System (IMS) to ensure continuing certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner requirements.
    •        Coordinate the Management system review process and ensure actions are addressed.
    •        Develop and monitor all internal and external IMS audit schedules and actively support audit activities at Enaex Africa sites.
    •        Manage document control processes.
    •        Work with Business Units to enhance capability and skills within their own teams to ensure the IMS systems are implemented.
    •        Participate in IMS non-conformance investigations and support the business to ensure appropriate actions are effectively managed to closure.
    •        Assist in the effective application of corporate IMS initiatives from head office and support implementation throughout the business.
    •        Create and maintain effective information management systems and processes on various applications such as SharePoint, Libryo and Soft Expert.
    •        Co-ordinating of SHEQ related processes (e.g. SHE procedures, legal appointments, audits, occupational health surveys etc.)
    •        Responsible for SHE management for Head Office and be part of facility SHE committee meetings

    Requirements
    Qualifications and Experience 

    •        Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or similar qualification (must)
    •        IMS implementation certificate ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. (must)
    •        IMS internal audit certificate (wish)
    •        Computer literate (MS Word; MS Excel: MS PowerPoint)
    •        Code 8 driver’s license.
    •        At least 3 years’ experience in the IMS systems management within the Chemicals or Explosives or Mining Environments
