    Finance Manager

    Job Purpose

    The Finance Manager will support the CFO in delivery of group financial reporting, statutory requirements and financial articulation.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Form a close working relationship with the Regional Finance Director and Service Line FCs.
    • Support with analysis on Corporate Finance initiatives
    • Provide leadership in the design and adoption of company Policies and Controls.
    • Provide the CFO with qualitative and quantitative analysis of the business on a monthly basis through interaction with the service line MDs and FCs.
    • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.
    • Coordinate group statutory requirements including the Group Audit with PwC.
    • Provide ad hoc analysis to the CFO to support strategic decision making.

    • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and advisors.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Qualified and accredited CA(SA) with between 2 and 4 years post articles (Big 4) experience
    • Exposure to Facilities Management, Property or Business Services beneficial

    Job Description

    To formulate & position the value chain, operating model & framework for the Office of Chief Officer – DIST function within a broadly defined organisational strategy, by leading & managing the administrative, operational and governance functions as well as setting the strategic direction of the office, manage the interface between the office & internal & external stakeholders on matters requiring attention of the C or CO, in order to enable horizontal alignment, implementation and adoption.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the Office of the Chief Officer in accordance to the relevant policies and procedures, including any other statutory provisions.
    • Prepare and coordinate the strategic and performance plan for the division, its related budget and monitor expenditure.

    Qualifications And Requirements

    A top industrial solutions client has a vacancy for a Commercial Project Controller. To manage, develop and implement efficient commercial project control processes and to provide commercial project support to the business lines. The successful incumbent will report directly into the General Manager: Commercial.

    Responsibilities

    • Setting up of project for execution: Together with the PM and in close alignment with project disciplines, define a suitable project WBS structure in line with the requirements of IFRS and assign realistic budgets to it. Set-up all commercial project tools, such as DAPROH, planning and reporting tools in accordance with global and local requirements
    • Project Execution: Establish budgetary targets for relevant disciplines and subsequently monitor and enforce compliance with such targets. Responsible for invoicing to the customer according to contractual milestones
    • Commercial Support: Manage the registration and administration process of foreign companies and branches in conjunction with CAR. Assist at tender stage with any tax issues, cash flow projections, pricing schedules, incoterms and other commercial issues.
    • Support or manage the required interfaces between commercial project management and the CAR department – assist with general financial queries and reporting

    Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • A Bachelor’s degree in commercial, accounting or financial management or equivalent
    • Minimum 7 year’s relevant experience in the controlling, finance or commercial fields of the engineering, industrial, mining and/or construction industries
    • Experience in project cost controlling, reporting and reviews
    • Technical competencies include: Financial Systems, Processes, Tools and Technology (especially SAPS), Tax and Corporate Finance
