    Auxiliary Nurse - Burgersfort

    Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Perform daily planning of activities and tasks to ensure timeous completion of tasks ahead of deadlines.
    • Calibrates the relevant equipment used in the OHC daily.

    Purpose:

    Drills & Secondary Equipment Planning Advisor

    Job Description:

    Provide technical advice and coaching on the Work Management (planning, scheduling, and resourcing) processes.

    • Manage safety and health systems within the work area, including assessing safety leadership capabilities, 'fitness for duty' of team members, and conducting physical safety checks.
    • Create safety reports and manage analysis of KPIs based on available data.
    • Investigate incidents related to safety, health, environmental, and social issues within the work area, visit the site of incidents as part of the investigation, follow the appropriate process to establish the root cause, and escalate incidents properly and timely.

    Geometallurgist

    Purpose
    Establish and maintain a geometallurgical borehole database and gather relevant data according to Kumba Iron Ore's Exploration and Resource Geology guidelines.

    • Consistently apply Safety and health principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for the safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
    • Function as a role model and support a workplace culture where safety and health for the site are paramount.
    • Support an environment for team members to challenge and act on unsafe behaviours without repercussions.

    • Generate geometallurgical borehole data by ensuring that the Kumba Geometallurgical protocol is catered for in the exploration programme and overseeing that sampling, sample preparation, and test work for geometallurgical purposes are conducted according to the protocol by performing the required QA/QC checks.
    • Capture geometallurgical borehole data in relational geometallurgical tables in the borehole database.
    • Analyse geometallurgical data to understand statistical and spatial variability.
    • Correlate proxy results (usually generated on-site) with laboratory test results to establish relationships to enable subsequent time and cost-efficient generation of metallurgical point data.
    • Deposit scale structural data acquisition from inside the Sishen pit and regional and local maps/aerial photographs.
    • In-pit measurement of structural information such as joint sets, faults, folds and bedding monthly.
    • Capturing structural geology data from core exploration boreholes.
    • Deposit scale structural interpretations in a 3D modelling software package like Leapfrog to define the structural controls for ore distribution.

    Purpose

    The purpose is to oversee maintenance operations on equipment and machinery and provide guidance and support to Artisans regarding quality, safety, and problem-solving to reach production and productivity targets. To conduct work on various equipment pieces (HME / Plant equipment).

    Purpose

    The purpose is to advise on equipment reliability and improvement programs, ensuring safe operation and effective maintenance of allocated assets through expertise in reliability engineering.

    Rotable Controller

    Your duties will include:

    Rotable Equipment Management:

    • Coordinate the usage, maintenance, and lifespan of rotable components such as engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, etc.
    • Coordinate the removal, replacement, and installation of rotable parts to ensure the efficient operation of mining equipment.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime and ensure that the correct rotable components are available when needed.

    Daily & Weekly tasks

    Routine work:

    • Run and display Resource Status Report (RSR) daily to understand what is needed for the Planned Tasks.
    • On the RSR, confirm the Material Available Dates will meet the Requirements Dates for the Tasks.
    • Update the RSR Statuses and Dates according to status (e.g., Item text, item status—delivered, Staged, etc.).
    • Engage the supply chain on materials requirements and risks associated with rotatable items. Highlight risks to the supply chain to enable the supply and delivery of parts for WK3 – WK6.
    • Confirm the availability of rotable materials with the supply chain (warehouse supervisor) using RSR – WK2 (Fridays noon). Order status should remain on “PROV.”
    • Confirm physical delivery of rotatable parts for WK1 (Tuesdays but not later than Wednesdays).
    • Set the status of each operation to “RFSC.”
    • Inform the Scheduler to reschedule work if rotable parts are not physically available or delivered.
    • Escalate to the supply chain manager for all work rescheduled due to rotable parts not being available or delivered.
    • Inform the planner to re-order when parts for future work are used on the breakdown.

    Supervisor - Kathu

    Purpose

    Supervise a team to safely conduct repair or maintenance activities for equipment, vehicles, or machinery, consistent with agreed performance standards and in line with the operating master schedule of the broader operation/site.

    Your duties will include:

    • Evaluate safety leadership skills in direct reports.
    • Ensure team members are fit for duty and address issues as needed.
    • Conduct physical safety checks and provide coaching.
    • Gather data for safety reports and KPIs.
    • Report and rectify deficiencies.
    • Conduct regular safety audits to ensure compliance and address any issues.
    • Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments, and close-out of Safety Actions.
    • Provide input to performance review reports as required on a daily/weekly basis and comply with data quality standards.
    • Participate in and execute basic RCAs to determine non-compliance with performance targets (specifically for equipment failures). Deliver solutions to non-compliance and monitor the performance of the solutions.
    • Provide accurate inputs to the forecasting process.
    • Present area-related and global targets to the team.
    • Participate in the review and development of the Service Strategies and monitor the measures to verify their delivery.
    • Ensure that a maintenance plan exists for every piece of equipment and that maintenance is done according to standards or the prescribed maintenance policy.
    • Comply with all requirements set out by AAOM and E&M best practice guidelines related to Planning.
    • Implement and manage maintenance schedules while knowing production targets to ensure minimal interruption.
    • Preventative maintenance is carried out according to schedule, equipment failure is kept to a minimum, and availability is maintained within the set targets.
    • Comply with all work requirements set out by the AAOM and E&M best practice guidelines relating to Maintenance Scheduling.
    • Comply with all Execution requirements set out by the AAOM and E&M best practice guidelines, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
    • Participate in at least four planned weekly task observations as part of in-field quality assurance verification to uphold operational excellence.
    • Manage the maintenance or repair of equipment, machines, vehicles, processes, and tools to ensure maximum availability and consistently meet required quality standards.
    • Identify improvement opportunities, implement feasible solutions, and maintain newly established performance standards for continuous enhancement.
    • Proactively provide advice to prevent potential problems and address components causing excessive downtime with permanent solutions.
    • Report on completed maintenance requirements and trends, maintaining a comprehensive overview.
    • Ensure authorised staff maintains all maintenance, upholding safety and procedural protocols.
    • Provide technical knowledge and guidance to team members for daily problem-solving and skill development.
    • Contribute input on Equipment and Components PMECA for strategic planning and improvement initiatives.
    • Execute activities to meet the plan and collaborate with Maintenance and Supply Chain to define the SLA requirements.
    • Comply with the Asset Management policy and system requirements for effective asset handling and optimisation.
    • Utilize provided systems to monitor and manage expenditures efficiently.
    • Execute inspection strategy and coordinate activities related to asset integrity in the designated area, ensuring compliance with established standards.
    • Execute daily data validation and reconciliation requirements, diligently closing out work orders and capturing accurately coded and reported data within an appropriate timeframe.
    • Participate in the Continuous Improvement plans and engage in RCAs to manage Defect Elimination.
    • Execute housekeeping as required and conduct workplace inspections to ensure maintenance is performed as planned and to standard.
    • Comply with contractor management standards and procedures and monitor contractor performance based on defined KPIs.
    • Execute the delivery of the sustainability activities relevant to the discipline and set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time.
    • Deliver Sustainable Mining Plan execution relevant to the discipline.
    • Comply with environmental and social requirements as relevant to the discipline.
    • Utilize environmental and social risk mitigation techniques relevant to the discipline specified in the asset risk management approach.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • Trade Test (Mechanical Engineering discipline)
    • N4 Qualification (Engineering field) or equivalent
    • SA Drivers license

    Technical Knowledge

    • Knowledge of engineering and maintenance processes within the scope of the role.
    • Relevant operational drawing/design experience (mining industry preferred).
    • Budget management and cost control.
    • Documentation, sign-off, and approval processes.
    • Risk management techniques and critical controls.
