    Product Manager – Traded Portfolio

    Job Description

    • Manage product ranges within the traded portfolio
    • Liaise with Suppliers both internationally and locally on all product related matters.
    • Source and grow product offering for customers
    • Negotiate contracts, terms and pricing with suppliers
    • Determine selling prices on portfolios product range
    • Manager stock levels effectively and procure in accordance with forecast and working capital requirements
    • Must be prepared to travel
    • Provide regular summaries and analyses of product and market trends, stock movement, profit trends, threats and opportunities

    Duties & Responsibilities

    E/I Artisan

    Job Description

    • Perform scheduled and routine maintenance on all plant machinery, services and equipment.
    • Perform engineering inspections, identify problem areas and implement proactive plant maintenance and plant improvement corrective actions.
    • Attend to breakdowns as and when required to minimise downtime
    • Maintaining all legal files and systems to required standards.
    • Minimise plant breakdown and downtimes by identifying root causes of equipment failures and implementing corrective actions to optimise plant availability.
    • Provide appropriate and adequate feedback and input to the Reliability Team Manager with respect to plant condition, spares and repairs carried out.
    • Assists and identify requirements for Critical spares list on Plant and Equipment.
    • Assist in the improvement and implementation of maintenance schedules and special work instructions in designated areas.
    • Maintain housekeeping standards in the designated areas.
    • The ability to operate the automated and relevant process machinery to produce products for, production purposes as and when required.

    • Good understanding of Pneumatic and Electro-Pneumatic systems.
    • Ability to work a continuous shift pattern to support plant requirements if needed
    • A good understanding and knowledge of safety standards, quality management and the production processes in a manufacturing environment

    Cordtex Plant Operator

    Job Description

    • Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards: - Works according to SHE rules and regulations and Operating Instruction and within all operating procedures and quality plans
    • Plant specific procedures and rules: - Knowledge of start-up & shut down processes
    • Recognize and understand hazardous conditions in the plants with regards to Operating Standards
    • Competency in working with hazardous chemical substances – Material Safety Data Sheet (PETN, Paraffin, PETN Destroying Agent, Calcium Stearate, Guar Gum, Pine gel, Red Glo)
    • Receive and prepare waste at PE 10, Clean and shutdown plant procedure at PE10
    • Equipment Maintenance: - Adherence to clearance and inspection procedures
    • Cleaning of machines as per procedure
    • Minor maintenance of the machines by replacing
    • pigtails on spinning machine, seals on vacuum units, belts on off-reeling units, rollers, bolts and tighten earth straps etc.
    • Operations: - Competency in operating detonating cord manufacturing machines i.e. spinning machine, extrusion machine, cord crushing machine and spooling machine for Cord manufacturing
    • Despatch of final product to distribution warehouses
    • Operating Quality Parameters: - Competency in Quality standards required for operating detonating cord machines and the entire manufacturing processes.
    • Ensure good quality product manufactured safely and on time.

    • Place monthly chemical orders and ensure all products are delivered and correct stock levels are maintained
    • Site Servicing (Control equipment, calibration, dosing pumps, water chemistry)
    • Ensure all chemical treated systems are fully optimized and good margins are maintained on site
    • Ensure healthy growth of the accounts in the area and make sure customers are kept happy
    • Ensure all treated systems are treated properly and enough stock is always on site
    • Ensure all site personnel are doing the work correctly and safely (Operators, technicians and site supervisor)
    • Attend monthly/quarterly review meetings with key site management personnel
    • Ensure all accounts are paid up, if not to follow up and make sure accounts are not blocked
    • Ensure housekeeping and Safety on all 7 sites are always up to AECI standards
    • Quarterly and yearly budgets for all accounts
    • Assist on periodic price increases on all accounts
    • Comply to all safety rules, ensure all risk assessments and safe work procures are in place
