    Accountant

    Where you’ll be doing it

    • A small but well established and respected accounting firm based in Green Point that is known for their commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to clients. Your hours can have some flexibility of sorts but essentially the core working hours are 08:30 to 17:00. There are 14 employees and they’re a close knit team that are family-orientated. The company can be described as fast paced but an informal feel to it and most of the employees have been there a number of years.

    What you’ll need

    • We’re looking for someone with an Accounting or Finance tertiary qualification and more than 3 years of experience in an accounting firm, with a profound understanding of financial, tax, VAT, and accounting principles. You should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in software such as Pastel, Xero, CaseWare, and Microsoft Excel. You’ll need to be able to work at a fast pace, be able to work well with the Owner who is high energy and often pulled in many different directions so you’ll need to be super organised.

    Project Document Controller

    Is this you?

    • You thrive working in a large fast-paced company that is involved in major dispersed asset bases requiring documental maintenance and control.
    • You understand the critical nature of being a super-user within the document management domain and actively manage the lifecycle between our clients’ offices and the various renewable project sites they operate.

    What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

    • As a Project Document Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and simultaneous document management, control, and archiving for our clients’ various exciting renewable projects around their Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
    • A major part of your role will be to administer the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and develop a document management plan to ensure compliance with procedures. To control and archive construction documents, including design changes, safety audits, certifications, and transmittals.
    • To support compliance reporting, collect required documents from contractors, and coordinate with their document controllers.
    • And effectively communicate company values and objectives on-site. Support internal and external reporting to the client, and coordinate with stakeholders and the corporate team as needed.
    • The fixed-term contract is for a period of 2 years.

    What you’ll need

    • Holding a Matric is vital and having a tertiary degree or certificate in administration is highly beneficial.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Project Document Control in the construction industry is needed along with some exposure to renewable projects being an advantage.
    • Knowledge of the ThinkProject tpCDR software will be an additional advantage.
    • Our client values strong organizational skills and attention to detail as quality and timelines is at the top of their agenda therefore knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices is sought after.
    • Of course, with this role one should naturally have excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to work collaboratively with the rest of the teams running.
