    IT Risk Analyst

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Monitoring of the IT risk registers and having the influence to change and address instances where IT Risk is not being effectively managed. 
    • Building the trust and confidence with First Line Risk Management and key stakeholders.
    • Review and provide input to the development and documentation of IT-related policies, standards and guidelines.
    • Monitoring of IT Issues to ensure there are adequate root cause analysis, risk management and remediation of highly rated IT issues. 
    • Provide guidance and recommendations to management to strengthen the IT Control environment. 
    • Monitoring of the Data risk appetite at Second line level, ensuring correct representation that guides bottom-up planning (and embedding). Ensure measurement and monitoring by business owners follows a sound methodology across the group.
    • Monitoring of data breaches and incidents to ensure there are adequate root cause analysis, risk management and remediation of highly rated issues. 
    • Collaboration with compliance team to ensure adequate training is provided to mitigate data breach risks. 

    Qualification and Experience

    • Risk Management qualification
    • Relevant IT qualification (that provide knowledge on IT Risk Management)
    • Five years’ experience in an IT and/or Data Risk Role

    Senior Risk Manager

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Lead the team in driving the embedding of a risk management process to identify, mitigate, monitor, report and escalate key strategic and operational risks within the parameters of the Board’s risk appetite.
    • Support the Head of ERM in monitoring the Group’s risk profile to ensure that key risks are managed, relevant action taken, and adequate controls have been implemented by management.
    • Overall coordination and aggregation of all key risks within the Santam Group for Risk Committee reporting purposes to provide a summary and overview of Santam’s key risks.
    • Track the implementation of the ERM plan. Escalate issues (timing, incorrect focus) with the Head of ERM.
    • Obtain a good understanding of the external and internal business environment, including strategic and operational goals in order to evaluate and identify any new and emerging risks.
    • Drive the analysis of operational events occurring throughout the Group and link to the overall risk profile per SBU and for Group. 
    • Validation of risk data in CURA to ensure risks and incidents are captured accurately. Escalation of issues to Head of ERM to drive with the ERM Managers accountable for relationships. 
    • Scanning the external environment for threats and opportunities that could affect the Santam group risk profile.
    • Drive and coordinate regulatory submissions.
    • End-to-end management of all governance documents (policies, charters, and frameworks). Including annual review and preparation for approval in the November board cycle.

    Insurance Consultant (10)(Bloemfontein)

    This role is focused on, but not limited to; servicing broker requests, including enquiries.

    •  Providing telephonic/ email support to the intermediary on record, authorised representatives from the brokerage, and broker services;
    •  Dealing with general insurance and policy specific enquiries;
    •  Dealing with issuance of new policies/ policy maintenance/ renewal / agri aspects of policies;
    •  Assisting to resolve all insurance queries within required timeframe and compliance requirements;
    •  Undertaking client follow-ups when policies are cancelled to ascertain the reasons and attempt to retain the policy onto books;
    •  Undertaking to adjust premiums in line with new asset values;
    •  Managing client expectation on expected turnaround times for submitted requests;
    •  Adhering to underwriting criteria and regional requirements;
    •  Assist with profiling the client with the best suitable product and underwriting criteria;
    •  Advising brokers to ensure that we meet with clients’ needs in terms of the correct cover and product;
    •  Assisting in implementing solutions for improvement; and
    •  Standing in for Consultants should they be absent or on leave during busy periods or absence of key resources, assisting where required.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    •  Matric/ Grade 12
    •  60 commercial lines FAIS credits
    •  A relevant insurance related qualification (e.g. NQF lev 4) would be advantageous 
    •  Proven work experience in commercial, agriculture policy administration and underwriting within the short-term insurance industry
    •  Minimum of 3 years’ experience in short term insurance commercial lines and/or Agri assets
