    Contract Manager - Platreef

    Mission:

    • Purpose of the position is to manage the whole contract team of the country or region assigned and ensure contractual excellence is achieved through establishing structures and standardization of process, policies, and procedures and its continuous improvements towards high quality operation and services of equipment, market, and customer satisfaction, while aligning with the Divisional strategy and close collaboration with the National technical operations manager and other management team.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage the overall activities of contract team according to what is agreed in a customer contract, including equipment maintenance and reparation activities, to reach the optimal equipment performance.
    • Establish a full cycle maintenance plan and strategies including preventive, predictive and corrective to support and enhance the maximum performance of equipment by putting operational safety as priority.
    • Ensure implementation of the maintenance schedule to reach the minimum service level agreement as agreed.
    • Provide full-set implementation of high-quality customer service and productivity.
    • Act as the highest decision maker to resolve problem and critical issues related to maintenance and service in the operational team.
    • Ensure that all sites and branches comply to the local government regulation, customer site regulation, and conduct necessary audits in the operational scope.
    • Establish procedures, policies, structure, and business process flowchart in operation scope including OEM, maintenance, customer service, inventory management to reach operational excellence and conduct review to ensure a continuous improvement, aligning with Epiroc Way, Group guidelines, and local government regulations.
    • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations and run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace
    • Responsible for the effective communication, information distribution from Head Office and Group and deliver successful management of labour in operational team.
    • Responsible for operational budget forecasting, including cost projection, spare parts requirement, and maintenance projection, in close collaboration with operation team and branch managers, and monitor the expenses realization versus projected budget, analyse the variance, and implement a corrective action.
    • Communicate customer issues with contract team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
    • Work closely with Operation Manager and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation.
    • Work closely with the SCX team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right spare parts, maintaining healthy inventory.
    • Involved with BLM and TM in analysing the profitability of any projects in relation to maintenance cost, labour cost, project cost, and responsible to forecast for any investment requirement.
    • Work with HR in the recruitment process as hiring or grandparent manager for Operation dept; ensure transfer knowledge to Operation team members including newcomers within Operation department, and to be involved in the disciplinary actions of employee in alignment and coordination with related departments of HR and Compliance.
    • Collaborate with Sales team and HR dept to produce an MPP - Manpower Planning with reasonable workload for Contract dept and ensure the implementation of the plan and to be the first one giving red-flag if any deviance occurred in the field.
    • Close collaboration with HR to ensure that technician teams are being deployed at efficient and effective way related to customer's contract and take necessary actions.
    • Responsible for monitoring the learning & development cycle of the team, and make sure that performance management and appraisals by his/her subordinates to all team members are being conducted properly and objectively in alignment with HR and HR Group policies and guidelines.
    • Lead the Contract team to reach operational excellence by always referring to Epiroc core and extended values, Epiroc Way of work whilst maintaining compliance with CoC and local government regulations

    Skills, Competences and Experience:

    • Well versed and updated in operational excellence to support maximum performance in a customer site
    • Maintenance of heavy-equipment, including parts knowledge
    • Persuasive skill towards customer
    • Excellent communication skill
    • Establish operational SOP including business process and cross-department flowchart
    • Review, adjust, and continuously improve operational procedures and policies.

    Operations Manager PSD Operations

    Mission of the role:

    • Epiroc is now hiring an Operations Manager - PSD Operations based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is a key position within the Epiroc Parts and Services Organisation, responsible for the service operations business in South Africa.   
    • The Operations Manager - PSD Operations, forms part of the Leadership Team reporting to the Parts and Services Business Line Manager. This role will be responsible for all safety, operational and financial performance of Epiroc’s aftermarket service activities. 
    • This role has functional as well as profit and loss responsibility of around 400 service technicians. 
    • This is a challenging position within Epiroc – you will need to work through complex issues for our customers, engage with a broad range of internal and external counterparts, and promote the solutions and capabilities Epiroc has in its arsenal. Your ability to approach your work methodically, and your ability to prioritise tasks effectively will be key to your success in this role.   

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Drive operational safety across the business line nationally including the implementation of initiatives to continuously improve safety culture and performance; 
    • Ensuring service excellence standards are consistently achieved across Epiroc  service contracts nationally; 
    • Identify and deliver efficiency service projects to maintain a market leading position; 
    • Strategic work force planning, to ensure training programs are aligned to the market requirement 
    • Standardise processes across the service operations business nationally; 
    • Functional profit and loss responsibility; 
    • Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, growing the market share of service business; 
    • Maintain effective working relationships with the customers and other key stakeholders; 
    • Drive leadership accountability and optimised employee engagement; 
    • Lead, coach and further develop a high performing team; 
    • Work in partnership with customers to identify and deliver our innovative drilling and automation technology solutions that deliver safety, high productivity and improved efficiency to our customers 

    Skill, Competence and Experience:

    • 10 years experience in Mining - Compulsory requirement 
    • Proven track record of leading large complex mining projects 
    • Experience with complex industrial equipment, 
    • Experience with supporting customer in complex mining related projects. 
    • Demonstrated business management experience. 
    • Technical knowledge of Epiroc mining equipment, and aftermarket services 

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Qualified Artisan – Compulsory requirement 
    • National Diploma – Compulsory requirement 
    • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, business administration or Engineering - Recommended/Desirable

    Operations Manager PSD Support Services

    • The Operations Manager  - PSD Support Services, forms part of the Leadership Team reporting to the Parts and Services Business Line Manager. This role will be responsible for all safety, operational and financial performance of Epiroc’s PSD support services activities.
    • This role has functional as well as profit and loss responsibility of around 100 service technicians.
    • This is a challenging position within Epiroc – you will need to work through complex issues for our customers, engage with a broad range of internal and external counterparts, and promote the solutions and capabilities Epiroc has in its arsenal. Your ability to approach your work methodically, and your ability to prioritise tasks effectively will be key to your success in this role.  

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Drive operational safety across the PSD workshops nationally including the implementation of initiatives to continuously improve safety culture and performance.
    • Ensuring service excellence standards are consistently achieved across all PSD support service functions;
    • Identify and deliver efficiency service projects to maintain a market leading position.
    • Strategic work force planning, to ensure training programs are aligned to the market requirement
    • Standardise processes across the PSD workshop and inventory warehouses nationally;
    • Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, growing the market share of the workshops and training departments.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with the customers and other key internal stakeholders;
    • Drive leadership accountability and optimised employee engagement;
    • Lead, coach and further develop a high performing team;
    • Work in partnership with customers to identify and deliver our key workshop and training services to ensure safe, efficient profitable growth for Epiroc.capital

    Skills, Competence and Experience

    • 10 years’ experience in Mining - Compulsory requirement
