WS 92/23 Senior Professional Officer at City of Cape Town

Requirements

•  Degree or B-Tech qualification in Quality Management, or
•  Operations Management or Total Quality Management
•  qualification and a Natural Science related
•  ISO 17025:2017 systems and internal auditing training
•  SAMTRAC or any Safety Management qualification will be an
•  added advantage
•  5 years’ work experience in a SANAS ISO 17025 accredited
•  laboratory;
•  Knowledge of process approach will be added advantage
•  Experience in the implementation of the Quality Management
•  System in accordance to ISO 17025:2017 and ISO 9001:2015
•  Implementation of other related ISO standards ISO45001 and
•  ISO 18001 will be added advantage
•  A valid driver’s licence.
•  Technical Signatory experience will be an advantage.

Key Performance Areas

•  Implement, maintain and manage an effective Integrated
•  Quality Management System (Health and Safety, Environment and Quality programs to ensure compliance with ISO standards and OHS Act and health and safety regulations.
•  Monitor the management system for continuous improvement by conducting the internal audit, customer satisfaction surveys and the management reviews
•  Ensure the compliance and management of both the ISO 9001 certification and SANAS Accreditation (ISO/IEC 17025) and other ISO standards.
•  Lead the development of process improvement initiatives and advise on the best implementation strategies.
•  Identify areas within the branch where performance or processes can be improved and develop strategies to maximise productivity and efficiency
•  Coordinate and facilitate training plans and materials to ensure staff training and development to ensure staff competency  is maintained.
•  Ensure laboratory participate on the proficiency testing schemes and inter-laboratory comparisons and other ISO 17025  accreditation activities
