    WECA Supply Chain Environmental Sustainability Lead

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    • Develop WECA Pep Positive tsrtegic plan.
    • Develop WECA Pep Positive AOP.
    • Coordinate with the different pillar leads to achive WECA AOP.
    • Circular Future for Plastic.
    • Deliver our vision of a world where plastics need never become waste.
    • Launch and embed ‘Sustainability from the Start’.
    • Activate rPET technical approval in pilot market.
    • Activate and embed Sustainability council.

    Positive Water Impact:

    • Assure business continuity, while positively contributing to our communities.
    • Develop water reduction opportunities.
    • Implement best practices and engineering solution to reduce water consumptions.
    • Work with different functions lovaly & globally to identify and implement water recycling opportunities.
    • Technology deployment for HWR sites.
    • Deliver water efficiency reduction; Integrate divisions and  devise plan.
    • Pilot Obour zero base playbook.
    • Activate replenishment projects.
    • Activate and exit stage 1&2 on all HWR sites.
    • Drive reduction in priority sites.

    Action on Climate:

    • Doing our part to Curb climate change by reducing GHG emissions across our value chain.
    • Deploy in house renewable options, maximize PPA options.
    • Drive reduction with recon & best practice replication.
    • Maximize VAM introduction across sites; unlock biomass solutions.

    Zero waste to landfill

    • Develop waste vendors and  alternative reuse to landfill

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary qualification (Technical education), i.e. Bachelors Degree
    • Minimum 15 years experience in manufacturing operations (technical roles : production, quality, engineering, EHS)
    • Decision Making – act independently
    • Innovating and supportive of change / new processes
    • Driving for results and efficiencies
    • Creating an Inclusive Culture with team
    • Building & Inspiring others even outside his/ her team
    • Collaborating & Influencing colleagues and teams

    • Proven Environmental & Sustainability experience within FMCG
    • Can effectively communicate trends and changes to strategic partners; colleagues and teams as well as drive implementation and improvement
    • Must have attention to detail and follow-up, as well as ability to influence across the organization
    • Familiarity and comfort with working across varied, diverse, international cultures
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to represent PepsiCo internally and externally
    • High integrity, with personal commitment to corporate values
    • Ability to work effectively and efficiently on teams toward common goals
