    Warehouse Manager (Graaff-Reinet)

    Responsibilities:

    Inventory Management

    • Maintain accurate records of raw material inventory levels.
    • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
    • Implement inventory control measures to minimise waste and losses.

    Warehouse Operations

    • Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch of raw materials.
    • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in warehouse operations.
    • Optimise warehouse layout for efficient material flow and space utilization.

    Team Management

    • Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
    • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure smooth operation of the warehouse.

    Process Improvement

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
    • Implement lean principles to streamline operations and reduce lead times.
    • Collaborate with other departments to improve overall supply chain efficiency.

    Vendor and Supplier Relations

    • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
    • Maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors.
    • Resolve any issues related to raw material quality, delivery, or pricing.

    Compliance and Documentation

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Maintain proper documentation related to inventory transactions, inspections, and audits.
    • Prepare reports on warehouse performance and inventory status for management review.

    Requirements

    • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management (NQF 6)
    • Certificate in Food Safety Management or Occupational Health and Safety (NQF 5)
    • 5 years' Warehouse Management and distribution experience, preferably in a FMCG or production environment
    • 3 years' experience in supervising or managing a team
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Proficient in ERP systems
    • Strong knowledge of inventory management and control procedures
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
    • Knowledge of safety and quality standards related to warehouse operations
