    Unit Administrative Assistant

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    • To deliver optimal support towards processes and procedures in the nursing unit

    KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

    • Perform administrative duties
    • Assist with patient administration related functions
    • Control pharmaceutical stock
    • Deliver a reception service

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:  

    • Grade 12 (with computer literacy subjects or an additional computer literacy certificate)

    DESIRED EDUCATION:  

    • Reception / Secretarial /Personal Assistant / Administration training

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 

    • None

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 

    • Administrative experience in a healthcare setting

    REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • Recordkeeping
    • Patient administration system
    • Compliment and complaints management
    • Data capturing
    • Telephone etiquette
    • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
    • Stock control processes
