Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilise typesetting software (e.g., Adobe InDesign) to format and arrange text, images, and other visual elements according to established design guidelines.
• Collaborate with designers, editors, and other team members to ensure content meets project requirements and expectations.
• Proofread and review content for accuracy in typography, grammar, and layout consistency.
• Prepare files for printing or digital publishing, ensuring they adhere to technical specifications.
• Maintain organized files and adhere to project timelines to meet deadlines effectively.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and educational technologies to continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of educational materials.

Educational Requirements

• Relevant 3-year degree or diploma
• Alternatively, proven industry experience relevant to the position

Experience Requirements

• + 3 years experience in visual / communication design
• Portfolio of evidence (Design portfolio containing >5 and <10 pieces demonstrating typesetting and design capabilities and areas of expertise)
