Training & Development Facilitator - Electrical at Samancor Chrome

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

• Present and coordinate Electrical training as part of the Portable Skill training at the Khuphuka Community Training centre, Mooinooi.

• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status.

• Ensure Customer Satisfaction 

BUSINESS PROCESSES 

• Conduct Electrical related training (Artisan-Aid, Short courses, on the job training)
• Assist with the development of new training material, update existing training materials and programs.
• Conduct Assessments
• Conduct and coordinate trade test, ensuring quality outcome.
• Ensure all relevant training material is updated and saved on EBMS.
• Maintain safety as per Samancor Chrome standard in workshops at all times.
• Ensure discipline is managed in workshops/area of responsibility.
• Responsible for maintenance of workshop, equipment and tools
• Provide input with the expansion of facilities to comply with Engineering training requirements.
• Ensure alignment with SETA requirements.
• Maintain applicable procedures for processes in area of responsibility.
• Assist with budget inputs.
• Assist with auditing and reporting when required.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / N3
• Electrician Trade certificate
• Assessor /moderator certificate
• 3 years relevant trade experience within mining/smelting environment
• 1 year Training/facilitating experience.
