TLB Operator – Roads Section Public Safety & Roads Service - Meyerton at Midvaal Local Municipality

Job description

• Responsible for loading and off-loading of material and equipment with right equipment to ensure safety of co-workers and the enhancement of productivity within the section.
• Operating vehicle for daily productivity of work and ensures that safety and traffic rules are followed.
• Ensures and protects the vehicle in use and the work area with road signs for the safety of road users like public and vehicles during the excavation process.
• Operates the TLB for digging of trenches and general road excavations to ensure effective construction and maintenance of roads related matters.
• Co-operates fully and consultation with the supervisors of the section through receiving and dispatching of works orders to ensure productivity as a prime work purpose to fulfil the service delivery to the rate payers of the council.
• Perform any other Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time

Minimum requirements

• Grade 12 
• Code 10 driver’s License with public driver’s permit (PDP)
• Code 14 Driver’s License with public driver’s Permit (PDP) will be an added advantage.
• Recognised TLB operating certificate 
• Skilful handling and operating of the TLB Machine
• Ability to read and write, communication and interpersonal skills.
• A hard-working self-disciplined person with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• 02 to 03 years relevant experience in operating a TLB Machine.
